For those of you who have been waiting.

Its in.

HAS Sound Viper7

I think it might just save my RG7621 from going on sale. The thing has all the traits of the Viper, and its working out very very nice on the 7621.

DropZone7 has been put to the neck slot where it sounds much much better.

Since they are quite a few pedal builders here. Can anyone of you perhaps be able to make a small buffer with a tuner out? I am not sure as far as what goes into a good buffer, but people seem to set the axess bs-2 as a standard of a great buffer for guitar. Other great buffers that have been mentioned are ones from skrystrup, CAE and the morning dew eq. Would really be interested if one of you can build me something like that.

The shipping cost for the axess bs-2 is even more then the pedal which is madness.

I'm interested to try that Morning Dew EQ out. Its just been re-released so I'm considering getting it. If I do, i'll let you know abt the buffer.

Anyway, buffers work weird with different stuff, my blackstone sounds bad and loses its amazing dynamics when a buffer is before it. Buffers always change the tone as far as I know... not only the tone but the feel changes too, like it introduces compression. Thus... all the best in getting a good buffer.

Likewise i really wanted to get it, missed the boat on the price when it was 145. I very much preferred the old design, with the silver hand writings and metallic flake blue.

I remember you were saying once that your morley's buffer really messed up your tone. As much as i like the morning dew, i don't need an EQ. Thats why i felt that the axess bs-2 is probably the best for me. Pity the shipping is crazy and skrystrup stuff is always expensive.

Lovepedal used to make those mini buffers, but not anymore, its a pity. Alot of booster pedals comes with a buffer circuit inside. Like the new radial bigshot, the SHO and the SCP. But, i dont need one of those that come with a boost either. I would not be fully using it.

That boost you talk of, the SCP, SHO, you can just leave it on @ unity gain. People usually do that... first in chain, unity gain, always on. You know how the SHO/SCP will alter the tone and many people love that.. You just have to live with the increased gain and thus, you get less clean up ability. How much less depends on how anal you are. :) Your dynamics still remain though. Btw, just to let you know, I have a SHO "clone" that is much cheaper than the SHO... so if you are interested in it, might as well get something which does the job at a far cheaper price.

The Morley buffer was really bad for the Blackstone... thats why it had to go... and tone wise i wanted somethign else anyway.

not sure bout the step effect on the zoom. But these few do steps sorta sample and hold. Can do a google on it

1) Moog murf
2) prophecysound infinitphase
3) zvex woo wah/seek wah/ringtone/tremorama
4) xotic robotalk
5) maestro fsh 1

If I remembered correctly, the difference between a boutique EQ (Morning Dew) and a pedestrian EQ is that the boutique one is capable of drastic alterations. While the pedestrian one handles the minor tweaks to perfect your tone.

If my assumption is correct, I cannot see how the Morning Dew's going to work out for you, or even me, for that matter.

Drastic alterations for you? Is that what you are seeking?
