I still so want to try the lovepedal Eternity but man, the price is ridiculous. Maybe I'll just get another skreddy screwdriver or something. Oh, yeah, get a safe safe fuzz.

I tried it man... the one at G77... but it isn't my taste I guess. It was mild and the price a major put off.

I'm leanirng towards a Tonefactor Huckleberry, Skreddy Mayo or Goose's Muff clone.

I think those are really the safest bet.

Kind of tired of fuzz but it does have it uses... just waiting for the right fuzz unit to make me wanna play, not turn it on and wonder how can I use it for more than 2 songs. Something like that... :P

haha, if even you have to say the keeley fuzzhead is mild, than really have to be something. I thot it sounded more like overdrive instead and more suitable for hard driven amp.

mayo and the muf clone shud be quite fat and wooly sounding. Not sure bout the huckleberry thou

I gotten this kimjawsbettas Rutt pedal from wake me up music. Its a mix between muff and rat pedal. I have good result for distortion/fuzz/overdrive too, depending on the gain and filter setting. Together with the citrus comp, i is love the effected gain tone.

Yeah, the keeley fuzzhead into some dirt pedal or an overdriven amp = nice stuff. but it doesn't justify the price man... had a Tonefactor Hellbilly that did the job back then.

I tried to use the citrus before gain too, very cool, very nice, made the dirty tone stand out of the mix very nicely. But you really lose a ton of dynamics esp if you play with the vol knob / pup selection... so the citrus is relegated to clean tones only, for now.

i had the citrus after the gain pedal. Usual way i like it(guitar out to gain and then to the rest). It works fine. The slight change in dynamics is ok to me though. Having to use the comp in the chain, iam willing to give up on the small lost. But having to say bout that. Hehe, iam not using much of the distortion most of the time, although there still be at least one or 2 fuzz/distortion pedals in the chain.

I love the citrus thru the fretless tele in clean, adding some clarity and full bodied sounding tone to me.

I tried the citrus after the gain, i thought it made the tone a touch too even volume wise... but YMMV... the change in dynamics was quite big to me, a no no... but then, i record thru a sansamp classic into a speaker sim into the line in of a notebook's crappy sound card! Hahaha...

hello, hope someone can help me on this.

i am looking for a distortion unit. for hard rock, metal, and hopefully also verrsatile. want to achieve screaming and also soulful (more of like singing, less irritating lead tone for ballad solos)

i am thinking between the subdecay blackstar and tonebone hot british.

please give me opinions, and i am also open to other options :D

thanks

Please remember to inform me when you are getting the Huckleberry, or Mayo.

Hahaha... I dunno, the fuzz thing is an afterthought. Its, as of now, not an essential part of my setup/sound so i'm in no rush to get one.

I do want that Koch LoadBox II though... $730 all in all, with shipping. I'll prob get it next month. Need some means of silent recording and this baby looks good.. never know till you try it anyway.

Hi there,

I am getting my Mayo in the next week or two. If the Mayo is not too different from the Huckleberry, I might sell the huckleberry if anyone is interested.

Incoming Gear......

Let me know man.

I like what I hear on the clips so gimme a pm if you want to let the fuzz go.

Or if you are dropping by Malcolm's to pick up your Timmy... I can drop by too.

Timmy is with me now....

Might sell that as well if i get my carb.....

Like i said, too many incoming. Financial controller (aka de wifey) is getting upset.........

Need to thin out the herd

I've tried the Mayo at Marc's and it's totally different from the Huckleberry. Check out the Google videos on both pedals. You'll be happy with the Mayo. It's a fatter and fuzzier version of the Top Fuel which I'm enjoying :D

Shred, I'd returned the Timmy to G. I'm sure G will be more than happy to sell the Timmy to you if you're keen :D

Hey G, if you've confirmed your order with Marc on the Mayo. Maybe you and Shredcow can arrange to have both pedals shipped together to save on shipping. Shred's Screw Driver is with Marc for the Smoky mod.

I'll be getting a Smoky modded Screw Driver soon. I need to work more before I can afford another pedal :D I'm not modding my Screw Driver coz it's got the tropical fish caps which Marc is not able to source anymore. Both our Screw Drivers should have the tropical fish caps. The lattar Screw Drivers have a different cap and they sound slightly different from the tropical fish capped Screw Drivers. The non tropical fish caped SD are quieter and sound a wee bit bassier.

PM me if you want to sell Timmy.

Marc just shipped my mayo 3 days ago.......

I have yet to confirm my incoming CARB with Jayson and it'll be a while more before i look to sell my Timmy. With regards to the timmy, i paid a fairly high price and would need to justify before i sell it.
