Boutique Gear: When did you fall for them?

The lattar Screw Drivers have a different cap and they sound slightly different from the tropical fish capped Screw Drivers. The non tropical fish caped SD are quieter and sound a wee bit bassier.

Not to mention that lack of "airy-ness" in the later pedals.. like mine.

That was the main selling point of the Screwdriver (for me) at first! Heheh... but well, its still a tremendous pedal round and round.

I'll wait on the Mayo then. ;)

wah carb!!! I was considering that one over the e actually. it was a toss up between the carb, the 'driver and the e. pity sean doesnt seem to be replying! Im all set some more!! That toggle thing appealed to me initially, cos I was thinking in the long run. I could experiment with my tele ( SS ) on the deep side, then the regular side with a HH guitar that i'll prolly be getting later in the next year. hmm :D

empty71: yep the tone from waccopacco's demo on google nailed the kind of fuzz tone that I need! its got the best sustain, pretty sure if i let a note ring and walk around near my amp, id definitely get some lovely lovely feedback, if not i'd just stack my ts9 to get it.. wow. its one hell of a pedal, and definitely on my hitlist.

shredcow: just get the mayo la bro 8) haha if you get then perhaps we can get the mayo together or sth, how to save on shipping? ship together?

now i dunno whether to wait for mr sean to get back to me (10 days and counting) or whether to go ahead with the mayo first.

Hahahaha...
Have to wait for the dough to come back ;) Finished paying off the Gobin this month, and got some stuff...

Then next on the list, is that Koch LoadBox II thing... SO! Mayo eh? Must wait lah.

ok i just sent him a new email, instead of a reply, perhaps that might help.
maybe he just mass deleted his mail out of irritation.. hmm..

I really wanna get the e. lol most prob the one that josh smith on the video got.

The Mayo...Mjm Foxy are Bmuff based tweaks....so depending on the trannies & tricks used we have the high gain...scooped mid fuzz.
The trick in any fuzz is first get it to behave (some like it just the opposite),
then getting it to voice consitant with any pu config and finally it also needs to coexist with other pedals and the amp(s).

There are some sad boutique's out there ya ...be warned !!!
Btw everyone is into the mosfet(rangemaster generic) boost into fuzz face or stacked trannie (high gain types) which depending on the transistors used will give nice pick sensative overdrive-dist-fuzz controlable from your guitar vol knob. Thats what i did in my Mangojuice.
Anywayz its good to read abt dirt pedal generics before swipping your plastic for that juicy piece of action.

This thread needs some pics.
