Boutique Gear: When did you fall for them?

Hmm....... citrus, I'll check it out. Hey I have another question. Can anyone recommend a versatile and natural sounding delay pedal for me? I like the kinda delay which Gary Moore, Steve vai ,Slash, CC Deville use. They leave their delay pedals on all the time. I want to leave my delay pedal on all the time to color my guitar tone a natural echo. Kinda like when you shout at a cliff and the sound echos back to you. Must be able to use with distortion. I wouldn't mind a bit of The Edge kinda delay for creative purpose either.

wanna a citrus, get a citrus, wanna a keeley, get the keeley!

Hehe, if everyone kept raving about certain thing, it will get over rated eventually

Delay, i recommend boss DD series, ibanez de-7, EH memory man etc. All can do the descriptions of the thing you wanna(except sounding like the artist). It will depend on your delay setting, plucking/picking technique etc.

I rather give the lowdown on the different pedals than to say "get what you wanna get"... though YMMV. Not many people are like me, will fork out the dough just to try stuff out. :P

I bought a citrus from goose. I like what I'm hearing ,it gets the job done for me. Transparent, punchy, not overly squishy, makes me want to play more. I hear my cleans cutting thru better and getting a good amount of body to the tone. I'll post some clips and what not, when I get my Sansamps back. Goose does a great job with the finish and the insides are neat too.

Tried the Teese FK-1 compressor, supposed to be similiar to the Keeley, and while it does a very nice job, its too squishy for me. It doesn't seem to get the punch out as much as the Citrus.

Oh... Citrus vs Boss CS-3... cannot lah... no comparison...

not thru ah, there are a lot of people who willing to spend and try, but most not into forums bantering though... hehehe, the idea of telling people to get what they want is to let them think about it themself and go with it. Afterall, if playing music is their own expression, then they must oversee everything to express themself instead of using others preference of stuff for their own expression

hehe, as for citrus, yes thumbs up for it, i have one citrus, one noise therapy and the blender loop thing coming from goose also. Nice stuff from da man!

overrated AND overpriced but that is my opinion feel free to disagree.
yup... agree with ya :D

I believe Mr Keeley was just trying to improve on an already pop comp loved by many. But the mojo that followed gave it the bwwaahhh !! Well the price came with the mojo too ..the rest was history. :D

No no... not bantering, but to at least review the pedals mentioned so people can guage further. I though since you have tried so much, you might as well do such a favour to those who have not had the chance to try as much. Give a short review and stuff. Doesnt' matter if its your taste or what, just to get an idea of the product across. Then they can think abt it all night long...

If you haven't noticed, SOFT has a good bunch of teenagers and people who have not yet started holding a job, so I thought it might be better to just give your 2 cents, if you know what I mean.

Of course, i do understand its ridiuclously tiring to come and share esp on a forum, the questions never end, and words always get misunderstood and stuff...

No hard feelings or scarasm here man, just... having a conversation. :D

EDIT: Ugh.. its hard to type when wokring... spelling mistakes abound.

hehe, steady steady, mr cow, last thing i wanna do is to be serious and anyhow shoot online. Afrerall, seriousness is not my forte, unless facing boss at work
