Why people nowadays so easily pissed ?

From the other threads I've read
Everything makes them pissed.
Slang also pissed, emo also pissed,
listen to pop/rap, rnb also pissed.

Maybe the problem is not with "them"
but the other way round?

how about have an open heart and mind.
and go about with your own biz?
I'm sure there will be one less pissed of person.
(not directed to anyone, just to pissed off ppl in general)

as with any human interaction in life, it has to be mutual.
one person having an open mind is not enough.
a person with enough sense not to do anything stupid that would irritate the public would help too.

erm...in the context of the original post, maybe the slang-er felt what she was doing was perfectly fine la.

abt the open mind part, if she was slanging, you could have an open mind and just let it be. So one person having an open mind in this case IS enough.

I view local slangers with the same curiosity as I do my ang mo mates who slang (badly) in singlish ...

maybe she lived in the states for a long time and you're just unfamiliar with the accents? people have told me they thought my accent was fake but that's just because they don't know any better. it's hard to tell these sort of things when you don't know the person personally.

it would be a sad state if someone were accusing her of being pretentious when it's really a matter of the accuser being ignorant.

haha yes but what about the rest of the people on the train?

just live with it bro
nothing will change even if we b!tch bout this, so y make urself feel pissed?
feeling pissed or not, u'll still have to go thru ur days...so might as well just treat tat as a joke n make ur days merrier...look at the bright side...

1st hand experience, sometimes you have to speak with a slang for the other party to understand you, like when you speak to an ' ang moh ' they won't understand you.

SIA la.. tt time i go my hse opp i ordered food in eng..

den the aunty freaking rude sae in hokkien 'Your parents nt ang mo. We're Chinese. Ang Mo dont fit us.'

Like WTH. I'm just ordering food la.

Haha. I will tell her this. CCB. Kao pei kao bu. There.... i just spoke hokkien. then walk off.... okayyy... i'm totally bored so i said that lor

i speak slang for fun sometimes. but heck my frens say my normal english speaking has a lil slang to it. its natural. i dont strain myself. im not forced to. i very happy. thanks mate. see ya later.

very easy u just say "sorry i am chinese, i am not hokkien, can i have my bloody hokkien mee now please"

oh those type of people. i once got this teacher who's chinese and spoke with a very ang moh accent (well, at least i THINK it was ang moh). she was an english teacher. very loud english teacher.
anyway, from what i heard, she keep jumping from husband to husband, if ya know what i mean. and these husbands of hers, also from what i heard, are never singaporean. and the last i heard, her current husband is an egyptian:???:

haha i heard lots of stuff. cos word of mouth travel fast.

haha dont worry, my theory is that, in every mrt train, there WILL be at least 1 who is like that. its either she keeps quiet or not.

I'm not Chinese and get spoken to in Chinese by the kopi tiam aunties all the time when I order in English .

I guess at the end of the day, you can't please everybody and you don't have to please everybody.

I mean, we can all assume till the cows come home, based on our own prejudices and bad stereotyping habits, and I am pretty sure we have all been through this -

You see a person and you form all sorts of assumptions of how this person must be, based on what you see but once you talk to and get to know the person, almost always all those assumptions and prejudices get thrown out the window.

Correct?

Everyone has all sorts of reasons to behave a certain way and do certain things, almost everyone I know put up some sort of a false front to compensate for their personal insecurity and sometimes pure ignorance. It's just a matter of whether we can open up our minds to accept that most of the time, these people don't mean any harm and it's just their own way to deal with certain issues.

So, ya - it's everyone's right to pass judgement and get pissed off or whatever lah but isn't life as we know it, isn't perfect? Not even mildly rosy for some.

So, next time you see or hear somebody whom you think is speaking pretentiously with a slang - just roll your eyes and mock him or her in your head and laugh at it lah.

I'm sure the feeling is much better than being pissed off.

aiya.
i go to MDIS and im taking Dip in Mass Comm.
i can tell you that 80% of the girls try to speak with the fake ang moh accent.

HAHAHA I TOTALLY AGREE I USED TO STUDY THERE!AND THERE'S THIS GIRL NAMED CHARMAINE AND HER GROUP RIGHT!I HATE THEM!
