Lol.. True enough.. But getting a pedal that does high gain extremely well to play Oasis and Mayer songs are kinda awkward..
It does OD?!!!!! Any demos on that?!
...shreds new "low drive" clip via DI wields excessive clipping ...why? not very sure?
One possibility ...its pushing his pc mic preamp!
Reminds me of my early 'amp'less' days where a hifi amp was the mojo...
Hopefully this weekend i will get a "low OD" clip via the JTM45 into a my sound city cab...
This one is done, clean, then channel 2, then boost on.
Thereafter channel 2 boost on, on left side, channel 2 boost off, on right side. High gain lead wank shredcow widdly widididilodododolodk pathein sizzle fried hot pick sick rick lick riff...
The rhythm parts showcase the dynamics. Bear in mind all this was recorded on a Palmer, direct to computer. And I'm using a V Pick Psycho. There's plenty of clarity and note separation... and the notes smear together nicely when you dig in. Nice harmonic ring too.
The lead part... well... that's how cutting the 7th is. No extreme sounds... no plinky-ness, no harsh-ness. Great clarity and dynamics. I purposely switched to the neck pup and played a repeated (and woefully out of time) line during the loud parts just to "test" the 7th a little more. The playing style is pretty much full-on here...
Tried the 7th thru a Tele... some Fender thing with stock single coils and all. Very mean. The grind and growl was incredible. Minimal hum/noise too. MOST impressive was running the red channel (no boost) and using the tele neck pup. Like oh my goodness... both player and listener shared a moment of tonal bliss and when the riffing stop, I think Goose got another customer.
