seventheaven

Ohhhhh! Cheyy.. That means it is not an independent Boost circuit..
Pretty normal.. Like in the FD-2, Creamtone, etc etc..

Actually the term boost might be a little off.

Goose, isn't the "boost" more like a toggle switch for less gain or normal gain? Its more like a "down-gain" switch.

haha....boost sounds better to me in my book! dosent matter what you call it if you ask me, just so long as you know how in functions and how it can be used for your playing style.....

Its quite nice to have that....imagine transiting from a crunchy part to a clean part....and you can turn off the boost for less gain for a less grainy sound....

It is a boost Shred. It takes each cahnnel to 11.
With 4 stages on the seventheaven, the boost is activated to the 2nd.;)

Lol.. Sorry.. I just don't like the Crunchbox.. Tried it alongside a Punchtone which causes the CB to pale in comparison.. Maybe I'll give it another shot..

But Goose is making me GAS for a seventheaven! It's a pity he's too busy to do repairs.. Got 2 pedals with broken footswitches.. Could have given me a good reason to try out the seventheaven as well!!:mrgreen:

none is better, all are different.

The thing bout pedals, often is the one playing and what kind of context that make the difference. Without knowing any of those. We will be spending a long time goning round in circle comparing circuit that are totally different technically and yet wanting it to do the same thing, fiting in the same context...which, doesnt seem too logical

Noted...
Next up --> Talent Pedal;)

Btw asgras , The crucnch box is Op-amp based with clipping LED's whereas the seventheaven is full transistor based with NO clipping diodes nor Led's. Differant animal for the same purpose!

ahh, boss, when is my 7th ready?

Actually, I find the 7th really does things better.

Of course if one buys the 7th and expects it to sound like a Crunch Box or a boss pedal then... maybe they need a smaller sound or something.

The crunchbox has the "wolfiness" you cant get rid off.....while the seventheaven can!

The crunchbox also cuts quite a bit of bass for me.....the seventheaven is much more versatile with its range of EQs...and it can be tweaked to the Marshall sound...and more!

The crunchbox also sounds more compressed, more like a pedal at higher volumes...while the seventheaven, at gig levels, feels surprisingly natural, its gain has this really organic vibe to it. you just gotta try it and see!
