What's in the mail? Part 1

Yesterday, I came home from my last major 'O' Level paper, and was surprised by a ring of the door bell, standing outside was a Speedpost post man standing there with a box and a form for me to sign. After signing, I was excited as i knew what was inside haha!

Here are some pics:)

Dudelove: The rippah is very versatile, with a range knob, q selector and bass/gain controls makes this really really versatile. The range knob is to adjust the sweep, with the knob in the upright position its the normal range, so you can actually get a very very big sweep. The thing that sold the wah for me was that it is very aggresive when driven, able to cut through, yet it has usable clean tones. I still have lots of experimenting to do haha! haven't really played around with it much. But it is no doubt a very versatile wah, from the clyde mccoy wah, to the Vox 846 thrash can inductor wah to vintage colorsound and even the Jen super crybaby.

ahhahaah you serious!

gotta gut shot? did u take the vintage repro thingy or something like that version?

yeah i took the vintage spec'ed one, because according to kevin, quoted from an email from him: Vintage spec is smoother and warmer and the stock is a little brighter and more hi-fi.

The names of the wahs it can sound like, were taken from a settings page which came with the wah

SWEET. You routed out your PT? haha, nice! Am consdering a ptjr, my board is a pita to carry, but for now ill stick to it! the ptjr can't accomodate half of what i need. =/

j_m_s: haha oh! No i didnt route the pt, the pt has no side plate so thought of attaching an acrylic plate to the side, then i had a sudden thing for all the boards on tgp ala pumaboards:P haha. So went to get the locking jacks didnt come cheap, about $10 each, and made it into like a patch cable but instead of male to male its locking female to female jacks. Attached it by velcro

Dudelove: Maybe we should have a wah shoot out haha! Area 51 and Rippah Q-wah haha!
Heres the gut shot

Glad I stumbled across this 2002 spec Les Paul Standard Lightburst at the sale... Totally killer tone and sustain... And oddly, it's not chambered, but it's lighter than my Slash GT!

Yeah i think there is sweelee sales today, saw a bunch of young dudes carrying a few ibanez guitar bags with the paid sticker on it. They are so happily eating their satay and orh luar at the hawker centre near my house.lolx
