if i weren't broke, id have a set of custom HSS pups from manlius for my strat! (and a bridge from Eclipze! )

How are the RS pots? super smooth?

The taper is amazing!! clean up has nvr been so fun! i dont touch my pedals anymore man!! and for once.. the tone controls are actually useable. usually 10 is good tone. 9 is mud 8 is mud 7 is mud all the way till 0 is mud.

Expect some noob recording clips of my lester paul soon! i love my new found sound. but i'm damn sad. after playing for 2 hrs somehow... the gold at the side disappeared. somehow it faded to silver. damn sad. playing with my gibson pickups for nearly 2 years and still no signs of fading. must get back to him abt it.

Oh btw Mick is excellent. he told me 10-14 day lead time. after paypalling him, 5 days later recieved an email: you package is on its way. superb service! and best part superb prices!

It's the new 2009 MIM model. There are some visual upgrades compared to previous models.

An excerpt from the website.

• New bolder Fender@ Logo on the front of the headstock
• Country of origin and serial number moved to the back of the headstock
• Tinted necks for a richer classier look, much like the new US Standard range
• Parchment plastic instead of brilliant white, giving a warmer appearance

Some new parts for my les paul!

Manlius landmark PAF for the neck and bridge. Bridge is custom wound to my specs.

And some mojo NOS russian paper in oil caps and the RS superpots

they sound SUPERB. B.B King Mike Bloomfield tone in HEAPS

Finally got them eh? I'm really digging my Fat Diane and Modern Vintage(bridge) too!

Before getting them I used to complain that my Edwards was rather light in terms of tone, trebly and lacked bass. The duncans on it especially the JB did not do much to make the situation any better. I emailed Mick and he was really prompt in recommending what to go for and he even customised the Modern Vintage to my spec to smoothen out the highs. his pickups are just right, very nice dynamics and 3-dimensional tone. Super responsive as well and his is even quieter than what Stan Hinesley is putting out (and I swear by his pickups).

Now with that aluminium stoptail upgrade my guitar sounds much better acoustically...EQ is more balanced and no more of that ice picky highs and with the manlius pups they just rip. I really dug the tone I was getting when I went jamming... feedback was easy to control and so nice and natural....and it was through some shitty marshall valvestate amp?

hey ized. they certainly are the shit. i finally understood what "woody" tone means. i nvr understood it when ppl mentioned it and i cant explain it in words. my les paul is a different animal now after the swap. the bridge and middle position tones are my favourite. they just have this honk to it which is what i really really want. middle position is even honkier. definitely can fool ppl into thinking my guitar is out of phase. i'm just not so pleased with the neck pickup. its a little bit on the bassy side. i have a feeling removing the cover might solve it. but it's going to make my guitar look damn wierd. what i do is i set up everything very very bright. amp and effects. and the neck pickup will sound good. and i just lower the tone on my bridge to abt 4 or 5.

i believe my guitar wouldnt sound this good without the RS pots. those things are amazing. coupled with 50s wiring its crazy. every single number from 1-10 is useable. the custom taper really really is genious. i cant stop fiddling with my volume knob now.
