it was painful.. RS guitarworks had ridiculous shipping prices.

but, manlius's prices are VERY reasonable. they are just 75USD per pickup. i paid 30USD more for the gold covers. that price is like ur typical off the shelf seymour duncan price. and these are handwound by mick personally. best you get to talk to him and discuss what u're intending to get out of the pickups. compared to lollars, which is 160USD per pickup. 75USD is really really cheap for handwound pickups. not to mention the superb results they give once inside the guitar.

sweet man, i'd probably give it a go too when i have more money haha!

As to RS shipping prices, well, some good things come at a price haha! How do the RS pots differ from like gotoh or cts?

RS super pots are used for volume. unlike normal linear or audio taper pots. they are somewhere in between. ppl use audio taper pots for volume. cos the curve is an exponential curve, if you rmb ur A maths. so for audio taper pots u'll realise that maybe 1, 2 and 3 the volume increases nicely, then 4 all the way till 10 hardly has any difference. for the RS superpots, every single number from 1 to 10 is different. its a custom taper. the superpots are made by CTS for RS guitarworks btw

heh heh heh... *evil chuckle*

It's MINE!!!! ALL MINE!!!! *rubbing hands with glee!!!*

I'm surprised that they did not spill black goo all over the electronics.

Hahaha... Like them boutiques? Nah... It's cooler this way. AND it's proof that Ibanez wants to show to the market that they too can deliver such quality...

My only question is, if they already decided to charge so much, and go through all the trouble of making it TB, then why on earth do they still use those cheapo plastic knobs? Why not put some cool assed metal ones like Hardwire?

handwired, ts808 made by ibanez.

Clever boy... Apparently, I bought the last one at SL Bras Basah... And apparently they only brought 3 into Singapore... how many in total production? I don't know...

But it's cool to own the original "boutique" version and not a clone.

i can't imagine how much you paid for that man. it retails for 349USD. and you bought it from SL.. hah

have you compared it with like a boutique super boutique same price range tubescreamer type drive? i dunno. you dont seem like a boutique snob anyway.

It's actually cheaper than 349USD... Swee Lee isn't always expensive, you know?

I've compared it with very little pedals. Mainly the CM2, because I use it, and a stock 808... It eats the stock 808 for breakfast. But the CM2 and the 808HW can live side by side... (both have different features) They work great together too.

I bought it not because I'm a boutique snob, but because of what I heard when I plugged it in. It screwed my head for over a month until I decided to go back and pick it up... Heng ah... last piece!
