damn...the whole package must have been pretty heavy. I was eyeing it last month when there was a sale. There was no mention of a displya case tho.

I did not order the vintage kit. I "cheaped" out.

I ordered 2 500k RS Superpots, and 2 500K CTS audio taper pots for tone. As for caps, i ordered Russian NOS PIO caps from a guy on TGP. Just check the Manufacturer's & Retailer's Emporium.

Instead of paying extra for the Jensens, i settled with these instead. I'm no capacitor dweeb and I have no idea how different this will sound from the Jensens, neither do I know how PIOs differ tonally compared to say orange drop capacitors. I just got PIO since its like a popular choice for many vintage les pauls, along with the Sprague Vitamin Qs.

10USD for that pair. Add 50cents more for international. Can't go wrong.

Christmas came early...

so i was away for abit..

my package from tomo fujita came in on my bday ( last monday!) , i opened it up today to find loads of lesson material inside, sadly my CD covers are cracked tho.. USPS...

Mastery brdge arrived before I left! Can't wait to get it installed in my Jazzmaster.

Mono strap was a birthday present from my older bro.

The envelop from PSG contains my pedaltrain mounts.

and... my timmy is arriving soon! hopefully in time for christmas.

I'm still wondering WHY their reflector knobs are do frakking expensive! Pots and caps are functional, so in some ways I can understand. But plastic knobs????

Of course can... I got them from Guitar Connection at $20!!! But not aged... Maybe it's the aging that makes it SO EXPENSIVE??? Because their non-aged parts are cheaper, though still a bit premium over the allparts ones.

the neck pickup is modelled after a 1930's Charlie Christian pickup, its jazzy, fat, clear and articulate.

the bridge pickup is like a P90 mixed with a tele pickup.
