This outstanding pre-owned Martin 2009 000-28E has some light dings and scratches due to its age - nothing serious, and no fret wear or cracks, otherwise in very good to excellent condition, especially considering its year and is priced to move...
That 17 year old rosewood really does sound great! Expressive quarter-inch straight bracing gives it balance and power for any situation.
This gleaming instrument has been maintained in superb condition, with all original hardware and finish, without pick, thumb, buckle or fingerboard wear. Loud and bright, the guitar has smooth low action.
Serial #: 1402057
Premium East Indian rosewood, Sitka spruce, and a timeless 000 shape have made it the choice for pickers and strummers. This 000-28E offers a blend of strong fundamental notes and top-end sparkle, with plenty of substantial bass response, balanced with articulate highs. This guitar has opened up to its potential of that warmer, sweeter, and more responsive tone of legendary Martin guitars.
This 2009 000-28E has been well-maintained and kept in a humidity-controlled environment over the years. It has been stabilized, so you won’t need to worry about any binding issues.
To the best of my knowledge, Martin began using a different adhesive for binding applications around 2010–2011. It appears that the change may not have been thoroughly tested, as instruments produced between 2011 and 2023 have shown a higher incidence of binding separation compared to the earlier models.
It has a Jet black ebony fingerboard and bridge as well as a super straight grain rosewood back.
I have not included any stock photos in this listing because I am positive you will be pleased with the quality and condition of the instrument, taken on 02/08/25.
Slight negotiation is possible, but I am not in a hurry to sell it.
This model has a full 5/5 rating and retail for $5,780 at City Music. https://www.citymusic.com.sg/product/martin-om-28e-2018-with-fishman-electronics/
This guitar stays in tune for an impressively long amount of time - gone are the days when you have to tune and re-tune after a single jam session.
In the final assembly, the instrument receives a computerized Plek setup to dial in the action for the best possible string performance for the instrument. The result is an instrument with the optimal sound and feel. You won't want to put this one down.
