I should thank Goose and Ized for introducing me to the man who makes this pickups. ;)

You'r welcome dude..Stan is da man!

Have tried other more expensive pups like the Bare Knuckle and Fralins....but I was never impressed with booteek pups until i tried a Stan Heinsley Viper at Goose's place!

I'm now using a Hellion....that pup has all the punch, sizzle and clarity and output you can ask for...perfect for modern stuff, and the cleans actually sound great not sterile like other high output pups where the cleans are like yuck! like what you said, i dunno how stan does it but the speaker cabinet seems to "thump" and moves the air more whenever i switch to my Hellion for riffing!

daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaammnnnn thats a sweet tele. i've been eye-ing on that swing tele for quite some time alr, hows the sound and feel?

It's great bro.. Like all other Swing guitars I've tried, it feels good.. I kinda prefer the fact that it uses rosewood instead of maple, and that the neck isn't glossy but rather has a more raw finish to it..

Soundwise, the bridge pickup is simply amazing! The middle position sounds good too.. Unfortunately, neck pickup sounds a bit sterile, but pick up the gain and it can handle that Satch kinda tone (sounds like an Ibanez due to the lack of character).. Will most probably swap the neck pup.. Otherwise really affordable and sweet playability, so I have no negative comments..:mrgreen:

That's all for now (:

thinking of converting my strat to SSS too. haha, either is fine. HSS or SSS.

I'm not too particular about output. Just need to cover a whole range of tones. From clean funk to high gain approaching metal tones.

Chris, Nice stuff! Hows the Mos treating you?

i am.. if its better than the original one

Out of goodwill they decided to alter the circuit for Paul Cochrane.. Unfortunately, the 12dB of Clean Boost is actually makes it closer to the Timmy than before, plus there's the inclusion of DIP switches, something the Timmy has too..

Maybe it will sound better, or closer to the Timmy, or something new entirely, but all in all, I'm just waiting for it to hit the shores!
