Yeah, go down to Popular, buy some acrylic paint, brushes and few cans of spray paint/lacquer

Painted that several years ago, conveniently Ibanez came up with the limited run of Jigsaw puzzle RGs a few years after that. Wonder if someone in Ibanez's design department saw the pics I posted online back then... heh heh

wow im your fan already, what was the original finish?
did you sand it down? always wanted to do a paintjob myself

8 stringers chuggah!

I remember that instrument, being one of the first 8 stringers around couple years back.

The original finish was a flame maple veneer with red clear coat. I refinished that guitar several times before. I stripped down the finish, removed the paper thin veneer and oiled it. Then later redid it with a walnut stain, before ending up with the jigsaw gfx.

I'll put some pics of it here, I think the in between stages looked quite good too lol, white "top" on black back and the jigsaw keyline stages.
