ithink..i THINK....Forum....means....

spending 6 months on any forum will give you enough knowledge to know and answer any thread....

If you get bored...then you get bored...thats that....doesnt mean that theres summin wrong wid the forum....there are a lotta ppl who are still enjoying the forum...which is what its meant for....

what one considers boring,repetitive,pointless..is matter of opinion...isnt that why we are all here in the first place.... 8)

Seriously.... I do feel that everyone here thinks their way is the best, thats when s*** hits the fan. I do find it very strange why some find it very personal when another person feels or thinks differently.

couldn't agree more with with the thread starter...

as much as i'd expect to see, didn't come across any trigger happy flame-throwers on this thread?

i actually fear posting anything after registering a while back, because of the harsh comments and the totally irrelevant "warriors" i've seen here.

a forum i feel is generally a message board and for ppl seeking advise or trading ideas..but for some of the users here, it's like an all out debate where only one gets to live. (esp to topics discussing genres of music/ppl and gears that should or should not be used)

it's a freedom of choice and i respect those with other views, but some users just had to stick to their guns and win hands down in anything...totally turns me off and it'll come to the point of "sigh...why bother" since all i get is just some darn war cry. doesn't win anything this way, just shows the maturity of the writer.

anyway nowadays me and my mates would just visit the forums and exchange laughs for the many comments over nothing..purely entertainment when we're bored of surfing around.

probable reason why there's only one moderator cos this is a registered business by "the moderator" under his media company.
(the domain address is a give-away)
probable reason why the moderator's replies were always p.a.p.-listic and god-motherly is becos of the same above...

some reflection on myself - i suck at PR. really. anyone who met me, i am sure i spoke less than 20 words to you. those who heard more than 20 words from me must be working with me on something.

i always feel that people should cultivate good behaviour. more moderators = more work. that is not what i want. i want efficiency. meaning everyone regulates themselves.

i was involved in some 3D graphic user group when i was studying in the states. every first friday of the month, we would gather at a community college and users from all level will share info/tips with one another. we have people from Disney, DigitalDomain, Pixal, Autodesk, Alias, Fox, WWF .... i remember once, a young boy of maybe 13 years of age showed the group his bouncing ball animation, everyone was chipping in ideas of how to make it better. those days, we were using key framing. much tedious. then someone started talking about collision detection and physics programming.

i was awed . i hope we can all aim towards that kind of community sprit.

once again, i sincerely invite each and all of you to help me make SOFT a better place.

dont mean to hijack bt wow mr james nvr knew u were involved in the graphic design field. so u do/did 3d modelling/rendering/animation? did u take up a degree or was it just a course? n we still do keyframing what..just tht the extra physics rendering features make it easier :lol:
