Ibanez IBZ10

i actually favour the CUBE30 but it's not available currently so the CUBE15 would be a consolation. it's a value-for-$$ purchase with reference to the on-board features.

if you have some pedals to hook up to, the Peavey/ Ibanez would be sufficient. 8)

Im kinda looking for an amp which has more than 1 input. and maybe 1 which is not specified for guitar, bass, or vocals...its like just a multi-purpose amp.

i highly unrecommend the cube15... it sounds like crap with effect pedals.... i mean CRAP!!!!

yes. please do urself a favour and not get that..

I think any 10W single channel amp with just gain/vol/3eq can beat that.

ill be using it for practice only. i asked for a beginner's practice amp remember? =) so no pedals for me for now.. if not it'll be more complicated for me to learn lol

wat abt practice bass amps (combo, of coz)? wattage wise im not too concerned. tone-wise, yes to a certain degree as bassheads could use DI boxes to solve some issues.

size-wise, yes im very concerned as the depth of the amp canot be more than 13 inches (including any power cord exit protruding from its backside). i have a cramped room.

examples include Fender Rumble 15 or Rumble 25, Ibanez Soundwave SW20, Peavey Max 110/112/115, Peavey Microbass, Washburn BD30B, etc

some bargain practice bass amps to check out:

Laney Richter R1

if you are just in need of a practice unit, the Microbass/ IBZ10B are adequate. the former is a reliable, good sounding amp while the Ibanez has a PRESENCE control to enhance the upper frequencies.

if you want something compact but with an on-board limiter, the SW20 is good. however, i deem the SW35 a more worthy acquisition due to its tilt-back design & FX loop feature. the Laney R1 has similar features to the SW35 but it has 2 input options (1 for higher gain settings) + a whopping 65W of power. 8)

thanks subversion. i think i will most likely choose the peavey microbass.

is there some kind of weird queue or list to join for such things?? since when did musicians became housewifes?

there's a general queue on the sale day itself, likely to be a very long one. so if you are on the acquisition list, kindly make an effort to be there early...

ATTENTION: pre-SALE discussions will stop on Monday, 26th June 06.

availability update will be made known by Thursday 29th June 06 (or earlier, i'll try my best...)

Will the SWR LA series be on sale? i went down and they said the LA10/12 (darn i can't rmb which) is spoilt and they're not sure if they'll bring a new one in for the sale.

if any of the LA series will be up, i'd like one (currently i can't decide which)

LA 10, LA 12, LA 15. they're all good for their price (especially at the sale) and i'd like to own one. i'll see which is available at the sale =) so just put me down for "an LA series amplifier" please! :D
