ok couple more enquiries here since theres no SG classic or SG jnr :p

1. Gibson LP classic
2. Gibson LP standard 2002 60s

1. LP Classic- not available

2. LP Std 60s neck- available. advice: inspect the instrument before deciding, the one i played isn't quite worth the asking price.

if it's within your means, do invest in the LP Supreme

ok. no Les Paul for you this time? 8)

heh... no not this time. just invested some money in a pair of Stan Hinesley pickups for my RG321, so due to cost constraints the Gibson will have to wait till end yr sale perhaps

thanks

maybe you should read why there's a cult following with the Korina...

perhaps the most celebrated Korina bodied guitar:

subversion, well i'm not intending to spend more than $2000, and the LP supreme while a very good guitar is definitely out of my budget.

why why why no LP or SG classic :(

i'm also waiting for the Elliot Easton Signature SG custom.
Elliot Easton himself is expecting it to be priced between USD2-3k, so hopefully when it comes out here it'll be around the sale time :p

the EE signature SG won't be here that soon, maybe much later...

as for the LP Classic- i've set my mind on that too but tough luck it seems...

was @ swee lee to try the following Epi LPs: Custom/ Standard Plus/ Classic. i'm ranking them here in order of playbility/ tone:

1. Standard Plus (Korean)
lpsp.jpg

*slimmest neck
*healthiest mix of bass/ midrange
*best construction among the 3
*despite mahogany being the stated material for the neck, the grain pattern is that of alder

2. Classic Plus (Chinese)
lp_classic.jpg

*slim neck but thicker than Std Plus
*more bass response

3. Custom (Korean)
custom.jpg

*thickest neck among the 3, but nothing like the Gibson version (still rather thin)
*untidy binding
*binding also displays inconsistent colour- mixture of cream/ white
*less definition from pickups
*heaviest among the 3
