there are no problems using guitar FX units with bass, it's a matter of liking the final output (what you hear from your amp).

i'd recommend Digitech's Bass Driver as this pedal focuses more on bass frequencies.

for those of you out there who feel that there is something for you from the BOSS range, by all means, grab what you fancy, it's a SALE anyway. however, on hindsight, BOSS products are going for 40% off on non-SALE days, so it's a matter of 10% difference, $30 diff on general average. i'd encourage potential buyers to consider other brand names for this SALE.
