Yes it is! It is the ADA Flanger modified by Hairston of ADA Depot. Paul Gilbert autographed this one when Hairston did the Mods for Paul. I'm hoping the other two inherit the "crazy flange"! It is wicked!

howdy folks,

pickups took forever to arrive but here she is, the final result...originally had seymour duncans in the neck and mid position but i swapped it for the dimarzio chopper and fast track 1 and really liking what i'm hearing. Realized still not much of a classic-strat-sound-dude...heh.

sweeeeeeeeeeeet

I figure I would post the three musketeers first. The rest will follow after my camera re-charges...lol!

You may notice one of these Flangers is not like the others....more to follow...Peace!

omg!! are you selling them?!?!

the ada flanger was already a classic on its own before paul gilbert was using it...

It's a classic mainly because it is a very dynamic sounding flanger right? Heard it responds to picking.. Really interesting! Plus ADA just started up again, but apparently the key components to the flanger are all NOS, so they're redesigning the classic if I'm not wrong..

the touch sensitive flanging is also available in foxrox tzf.

The ada flanger came about the time when there wasnt much flanger that have wide range of sound through the various controls available and the ablity to use exp pedal for the manual parameter.

imho, some of the more interesting flanger are the ada one, lovetone ? flanger and foxrox tzf.

The ADA Flanger was one of the first TZF = through zero Flangers ( SAD1024 models). IMHO there is no flanger capable of the wide variations of sounds you can get with these and it is smooth. In the picture there are two 1970's models and the center one is the Paul Gilbert "Crazy Flange" modded flanger (1995). It is crazy to say the least, and very sensitive to the touch. It will be very interesting to see the NEW re-issues. I think they will be based off of the MN3007 chip that has been re-issued. The new Ibanez AF 2 is supposed to be a clone of the ADA. Will hopefully have the AF 2 in about two weeks.

Sorry, but the Flangers are not for sale! I paid $$$ for the PG ADA and the earliest 70's one.

Nice Bigsby, dudelove..I strongly recommend u change ur bridge to a roller one just like I did on my Casino with Bigsby :) Helps to prevent string breakage.

My Epiphone Casino has undergone heavy mods. I changed the stock tuners to Klusons, removed the pickguard and added a black washer (ala John Lennon, if u see his original Casino in the old Beatles pics),changed the stock pickups to GFS P90s and added a roller bridge for tuning stability and prevention of string breakage. Also had orange drops added as well.

Thanks to Beez for helping me with the mods :)

Ok, so it doesn't look like John Lennon's Casino, more like George Harrison's Casino..lol..
