just got this back last week. brought it to guitar workshop to install a wilkinson whammy. say its freaking awesome and stable haha. i only remember theres like 4 occasions where it went out of tune. and i do violent whammies most of the time.
oo why not? i know tremking has a tele-style bridge, but you gotta order it. haha. check that one out, u can yank and dive the bridge.I've always thought of having a Tele with a tremolo / whammy bar, but still keeping the single coil tele bridge pickup.
from what i see, the routing isnt really big. its about 13 cm in length, 8 cm in width. i still got the same tone and sustain in my guitar, if not, it got better. hahaWas there lots of digging on the guitar body to install it?
hmm interesting, what do you recommend?Do consider changing your metal saddles to graphtechs if you want tuning stability and less instances of string breakage.
yeap man. they do it at $125 with routing and $60 for the locking nut. not sure if its the correct price, says in the receipt haha.do guitarworkshop oso help people to drill holes for licensed floyd rose and install it? (plus the locking nut)
Yup, its a Jem777DY. LNG and SK are really nice but these are quite hard to find now. Ibanez should re-issue some of these gems of yester-years.
Beautiful guitar you have there!!
I remember the 1st time i saw the Lime Green at Swee Lee Plaza Singapura when it 1st came out. My jaw dropped at how beautiful it looked.. And there's Vai's signature at the trem-plate at the back too!!
I love the inlays.. and the colour scheme of the 3 fluorescent ones, with the colour in the claw-cavity too..
Random.. but. gosh, does anyone know how to remove a silver nitrate stain? my lab partner spilt it on my right arm during a practical session.

dont do anything.you'll turn into silver surfer!
wierd....i use sliver nitrate to remove stains...not to get stained by it,and isn't it suppose to be transparent?
usually i use hydrogen peroxide + potassium manganate(acidified) = colourless solution, then i add silver nitrate, where there would be white precipitate.then i use that solution ro remove stains.
