Neighbour Guitarist needs TUBE AMP too

when man deviates from simplicity to intellect stupidity ...

Those days pedals and amps were made for the purpose of music not purely for the profit alone.

mass produce in China ...see the problem !!

No problem la, at least mine doesn't have quirks.

I guess it's the usual faulty "first batch" issue.
As the saying goes, 'never buy anything from the initial line of production'.

I hope I made sense, but either way, mine has no problems. And I doubt the problems still persist.

The tolex is a little thin. But there again it's my bedroom amp, so there's no lugging around. No issue there.
Cabinet/overall construction is neat and solid. No worries.

heh, isnt it a wonder when we everytime read around internet on how something sucks, noisy, pos or simply cant use, but yet when we give it a chance. Most of the time, it wasnt as bad as what we have read

Oh man, thats cool to have your love buy you stuff.

However, THE gear-buying gf belong to this other SOFTie... his gf got him a Fulltone Clyde DELUXE wah AND a 2nd hand John Mayer Incase guitar bag AND an Italia Leather Strap.

Beat that! 8O

my EX girlfriend bought me a baritone replacement neck. More like paid for it and I've not installed it eversince.

hur hur hur...

Okay, this is not a one-up showmanship thing. But I heard before the gf of the lead guitarist of this pretty new band got him a Gibson Les Paul Std for Christmas!!!

We all need gfs like these!!!

i know the dude shred is talking abt and hes one lucky bugger. now i heard from aging bro here at this very moment abt this other dude which is think is an even luckier bugger!

when is the gear buying gf ever to come to me!????

OT! INFIDEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i heard some forumers got a humming problem with the vox tube amps.
Wonder if its the amp itself.

I ve tried valvetronix, and its also humming badly sometimes... i grounded the plug tht time.

I m now choosing between Blues Jr and Vox ac15, kinda in a dillema..

The salesman told me there is an actual spring coil in the amp for the reverb. Can anyone clarify this? Phil?

no lah... really... if your amp got spring reverb, give it a light kick...

yes. one gig they had a spider II on stage. i almost started crying when i saw it but when i put my pedals tru it, they sounded so much better than the marshall valvestates!

Pui!! One up for Line 6!

lol... if i hear the tiong sound... i think its time to nail the coffin for my amp...

ehh bro they not kidding. the amp really goes boing when the spring vibrates while its on. like what edder so give it a light kick. anyway u can prolly see it if its open back. its usually in a long metal box on the bottom on vertically mounted on the side wall.

yeah... remember how my vintage ultra super rare limited edition almost mint NOS JC50 does that "boingingingingoing" when kicked?

I kick that bugger hard. Damn amp just won't die... I need to spend money. hur hur hur~

i believe if you clip the sprintg with a wire cutter it will die.

hope that helped. my 69c worth. =)

Most of the complaints are for the amp itself mah... not when running pedals into it...

When I had a Flextone III in MDC last time, we all run pedals thru it and thought the humble Sansamp GT2, about 1/50 the size of the amp, sounded better than the Flextone's drive tones.

Line6 does take pedals well.
