Since it's a vote thingy...I say sack the judges and their comments...hire the General electon vote counters and have some civil servant announce the result GE style and in the same tone & timbre of voice...

yeah sure its fun to be on tv but well if only singapore has a showcase show like the top of the pops(uk) and well a whole variety of music shows like they have in other countries like indonesia etc at least 'talents' or 'dreamers' wouldnt have to prostitute themselves by bcoming lambs to the audiences vote slaughter..wel these showcase shows only features the best and its all sheer hard work for these bands instead of wiining some talent shows which is like a flash in the pan for the contestants such a shame.bt i still watch it for novelty value tho.ha!jus having a good laugh

I think for most of the contestants..they noe that its a far fetched conclusion to live the dream here for reasons we all noe..
In anycase most of them are semi/ pro musicians who noe whats the scene like..I mean they are experienced ( I stress again: most, not all)
guess they join not to sell out but to stretch themselves, chasing a new high..seeking fresh challenges.. So its all gd. For those in that category, they haveat least, my respect.

But I would certainly love for the voting calculations to be validated and made more transparent.

Aye. But IMO, the "music talent" from Live the Dream is slightly better than Singapore Idol. The latter is nothing but a over-hyped teenage popularity contest, where voters vote with their hormones!

If any of you have watched the making a rock band show on kids central. They had an entire episode on fashion. We start young with image. We die young with plastic stuffed in our faces.

They probably fell asleep while Rockstar:INXS and Rockstar:Supernova was being showed on T.V, cause mediacorp definitely didnt learn jack shit.

The thing that really irks me is not the contestants. Rigged or no rigged, always pretty obvious everytime, but i am very sure all the contestants are doing their best and it might be their off day on that day. Shit happens when your performing and anything can tip it to the bad side.

But how the whole layout of the show is f-uc-king shit. Huge stage, huge studio, literally empty. Midi tracks playing in the back ground, weak as shit sound system and sound man who sounds like a secondary school fella from the local AVA club. Why can't they hire a proper live band to play the songs for the solo acts. Tons of awesome club and cover bands that can do any arrangement you want. Plus, proper equipment, mics and sound system for the bands.

A good live band in the back, proper lights, good sound will make so much of a difference in terms of everything sounding better and looking better. Not to mention the energy level.

How a billion dollar cooperation who is well funded can provide equipment , sound and ambiance worse then the local Battle of the Bands or Asian Beat is truly astounding.

Haven't followed a single local reality TV show or those rehashed dramas in years. Never will.
