and yeah... the catsinecradle lead vocalist is awesome! but i dont like the way the judges see them as a singer leading a bunch of guitarists rather than as a band. it's like saying good singers dont have to be in a band, they can just work by themselves....

You can't blame the judges.
The guys are just playing simple chords, any guitarist can do that.
Pop bands have always fixated on the singer anyway, you can't expect people to go "Wow, that guy played a really good G chord."

perhaps they dont even have to bring anything for that 15min thingy..tech rider before show, any kinda gear, drum bass keys, guitar, effect, lightings, fans, cokelat perhaps also can

some bands management, they can get in touch with local dealer carrying the gear, to provide the gear needed.. artist, fly in, go thru motion, smile, sing, bye bye.

and if its own instrument, heh, why cant just bring and strum? Band is a career, gear are just tool to be used for making sound, entertain masses, hardly precious to be so careful, unlike we mortal...
