ya but i mean the value of these guitars are a bit inflated due to the rarity of it.

But its all personal perference la these things.

As you can see here we have a range of ppl who swear by their guitars, Edwards Burney Gibson Tokai. Its a perference thing. =)

you are right, prices of these guitars are definitely inflated. it's a chain reaction and it all starts from Orville by Gibson. ObG are rarely found anywhere these days. so the next alternative will be MIJ Epi, since they are from the same factory and with same quatlity.

price wise, i got no comments, just like you i believe it's just a preference thing.

Brendan - Just enjoy your current guitar. It's very important for a guitarist to look beyond excellent gear as a necessity. Your guitar is good enough for you to play a lot of different music already.

Trust me, getting the best guitar won't make you a better player. Becoming experienced and eventually knowing what you want years later will bring you to -your- best guitar.

personally i would shoot for a 2nd hand Gibby rather than the MIJ Epi heh can be gotten for slightly under 2k if your lucky. Almost bought an Orville for 1k but a few hundred bucks more and we're in Gibby terriority.

2nd hand Gibby for <2k is really rare dude... unless the condition is shite. maybe on ebay.. but then when you factor in shipping :roll:

Which is true better for me to save and get a Gibby than to buy the copies and thn sell it at a loss to buy the Gibby in the future.
