Les paul players

i was in that situation. Was looking to buy a les paul. Was thinking of the Tokais Edwards and stuff, thn my friend told me somehting. He said just forget it, save and buy a Gibson cuz in the end you will want to get a Gibson.

Which is true better for me to save and get a Gibby than to buy the copies and thn sell it at a loss to buy the Gibby in the future.

same thoughts before, just replacing lp wth sg. During that time I barely have 1k, I was looking at LTD viper, which look not right to me. I went to the extreme that I take bread to school everday, and lied to my classmates I cant take meat for half a year just for the sake to save money

Bro i salute you for your sacrifices just to get the guitar of your choice :) There's alot of debate whether to buy the orig les paul guitar gibby or copies.Just as posted by other users,it's a preference thingy.Just enjoy the LP you've cos it's yours & wat matters is how you feel bout it.I bought mine cos i have lots of faith in japanese guitars makers eventhough they're copies as they're very detail & passionate bout their work for this instance quality guitars. If they produce shitty or below par guitars , then gibby wouldn't be slapping every japanese LP guitar companies with lawsuits right?

guys....

I have never ever seen an Epi LP with a gibby shaped headstock...

I have seen the Elitist, is the Goldtop a Japanese Limited version?

^^ serious?

i have a korean epi lp exactly identical to blahblah's one, didnt know that the head stock was a gibby shaped one, didnt thought the headstock was somewhat unique though.. until now.. but well who cares..

But anyway the previous owner whom i bought it from told me that this version of goldtop is no longer in production..

Brendan was talking about the classes, not the guitars.

The classes could be a waste of time depending on your level and amount of practice at home. Most people I know found they learnt more and faster on their own then in Yamaha.

Oops, my apologize. Anyway are yamaha lessons that bad? I mean, most of the guitar courses teachs yr basic like holding your guitar and so on right? I was thinking about enrolling yamaha electric guitar lesson for the sake of the test. Wonder will they allow pp to take test only. Any idea what will be the test one?

yup.. i agree too.. only go to lessons when u really stuck and needed help.. and know what u wan out of the lessons.. or else it would be like jammin every lesson.. lol.

the Epi with the same headstock as the Gibson are the First few Japanese made Epiphones with Epi took over making guitars for gibson from orville.

After the switch to korea the headstock changed shape. The MIJ Epis are quite rare.

If you wanna change might as well get a set of good ones. The cheap ones will prolly screw up on you again.

Stew Mac has the Grover and Gotoh brand kulson type tuners. As for actual kluson ones im not too sure.

is it possible to get them locally?

Add on note for Grovers. Read this on TGP forum. There are currently 3 kinds of Grovers. Korean, Taiwan and USA. The retrofit/packaged ones are US made. No prize for which is the supposed best.

actually i feel that its kind of true
they are teaching very little in a lesson .
my Yamaha teacher is Spencer Goh .

im afraid that if i teach myself , i will miss out theories and my foundation .

im thinking of quitting Yamaha and learn from Shredcow .
btw , does Shredcow teach foundation and , does he teach faster and more efficiently ?

haha at the age of fifteen , many things are needed to go through my pare nts .
my parents sent me to Yamaha coz they feel that Yamaha is more trustworthy .
my parents think im learning Music and Arts for hobby .

sigh , thanks in advance

i was taught by spencer for 2 lessons in the yamah class. REAL SLOW! couldnt stand it! fortunately they changed date and so i couldnt make it so i quit.

so i found a private tutor. his name was steven but stopped learning. private tutors focus all their attention on u so u go much much faster!

try it man!
