mellapong. thats called bengal burst. and thats not quilted maple. thats flame maple. i have a guitar in that finish.

My PRS is a wide-thin which suits me better. Shame this neck profile isn't available on all models, e.g. Hollowbody... 
Re: fancy tops, I like them but I don't let that cloud my judgement on whether the thing is actually a good guitar or not, but my view is, if you're buying a good guitar as a 'keeper', and you can afford it, then why not get one that also looks impressive even if it has no contribution to the sound.

despite having small hands (as cited b4), i prefer the wide-fat carve of PRS necks- that's why i chose the McCarty.

Actually the quilted top looks cool, but only when matching with a certain colour tone.
To that pearl blue.. definitely looks a bit weird :roll:
