Sorry guys, we were just *this * short of our headcount requirement.
next time, those enthu abt a gathering could help out by cajoling their friends to sign up.
Also, initiative is KEY here - not lurking arnd to see how things go, without signing up with the intent of popping up at the gathering unannounced.
