hello softies
im still do research on the adjustable compensated nut... (and i still havent done researching on it)
i just read some nut problem from some fellow softies, like
a "ping" sound when bending and tuning the string
playing a trem bar then goes out of tune...
a "ping" sound is come from nut ... because of the nut's material, and there is a friction on the nut that causing the strings go out of tune, after bending the string..
when bending the strings, the string got stretch , the stretch point usually found at the bridge saddle friction point, at the nut friction point , and at the tuner it self
and after releasing the string, it got stuck on the nut friction point .. so the string were relieve from bridge saddle to the nut, but the string tension from the nut to the tuners is still strained uptight and dont come back to its usual condition ... thats why your guitar goes out of tune
i'm planning to make some nuts (regular nut, not the compensated one) from this composite material for some fellow softies for free... and try it.. (I'M REALLY SERIOUS)
yes, i do really want u to try it, and not just keep it ....& do not sell/give it to anybody, and use it on your axe.. hehe preferably a serious and experienced player
to give me an objective opinion
i need someone else to try it.... not only me
and if some of u have ever use graphtec's TUSQ nut.. please try mine.. is it as good as TUSQ or not
... no need for lubricating or etc, its Slippy ,really hard and durable
, just file the slot, tune up , strum , bend the string, dive the trem, and hear the sound.. is there any different from ur previous nut
please compare it and let me know 'bout your opinion
i appreciate your opinion... and ill research more on the material
