A Custom Made Guitar

thanks groovy :)

@ dtrulez .. i havent calculated it... all i know... the goodies value its not a little :) there r trial and error
the experience i got, make it more expensive ... i mean ... u got to pay more and u get more experience :)

@goose hehe ive finished make the aluminum aircraft stoptail... well, i'll attach the pic later on

@white... damn nice flame ... what spec for the whole guitar ?? mind to tell ?

Well, I can't share much as it's still being finalised. Except it will have Brazillian Rosewood, and a 1 piece honduran Mahogany back and neck. 25.5" scale. Stainless Steel frets. 12" radius.

Oh btw, it might come with a piezo...

ok this is wrapover stoptail from aircraft aluminum ... before finishing

i had to make another one...

its really low in height... nearly equal to Tune O' Matic's height

Nice wraparound man, heh heh heh. I've more ideas now.

Anyway, how bout something with a zero fret. Yummy.

somethin like this... ive found many tuning problems.. find somethin strange for my nut... the sweet spot is not in the zero fret position... but move a little toward the 1st fret... i marked it with a tape... and its exactly like this:

@heckerkoth thanks man :)
@tron ... hmm the experience make me spend lot of money on it :)
its not cheap .. he he
@phil ... hey what idea? tell me hehe

what do u think of earvana? compensated nut... :)

Do take note, that compensated nuts mainly contribute to standard tuning, in one fixed scale. The minute you go to alternate tunings, or drop tunings, or down tune, then the nut becomes even worse as problem.

The bridge is turning out nice ....just need a guitar to fit ;) ..... ;) ..... ;)

Srsly...this compensated nut kills all the mojo that an electric guitar gives ...tried one fitted with one those ...the guitar was perfect and LIFELESS!!

or drop tunings, or down tune, then the nut becomes even worse as problem

Yup ...and this is a major problem for me ....i tune to B :0

Lifeless? This weekend I let you try my EBMM... You then tell me lifeless or not!

Tuning to B for you is more of a problem not because of the nut, but rather, the limited scale length. Your intonation is more troublesome. Baritone scale needed!

No trouble bro ... i have been playin down tuning since 1992 ...its my forte!

Lifeless in a sense that i gotto be perfect with the guitar...finger pressure is limited .... bends are like "yo-yo" ....

The guitar is not perfect just like us ....seeking perfection just destroys it ...imo.

if its a drop tuning .. i need to make the compensation nut a little further toward the 1st fret...
well it must have an adjustable feature ... :D
extra small bolts for each string channel.. or 1 bolts holding 2 channel at once

@goose yes ... when i tune it and find a sweet spot for the compensation nut it drive me nuts.. haha it takes so long time.. mine is a short scale 24-1/5" 'lil bit longer nut compensation is needed ..

Would a range adjustable bridge help instead? Making the nut movable adds extra loss for vibration transfer... Something not entirely desired. OR, you have individual adjustable nut slots, much like mini-saddles?

OR, you have individual adjustable nut slots, much like mini-saddles?

yesssss this is what i mean !!!! haha
i think it wont have any vibration loss .. because i clamp each string channel saddle using bolt.. so it wont wobble, and loose... for the material i'll use my composite material.. i want to try it on my axe...
for the bolts ... maybe using 2,5mm bolt.. if i can get smaller bolts would be better

so it will suite any scale guitar hehe

the compensated bridge it self wont help much on the first 3-5 frets .. it do help on higher frets.. but on the lower frets when u do a chord position like A, D, E it wont get nice tone... it'll get sharper on the note :)

ok this is the saddle.... still unfinished... itll be shiny after polishing
i havent finished both of the saddles and the stoptail.. hehe there're still many sharp edges i haven't file it .. yes .. ill make it better on the next makin'
