I used this kits 2 years ago,I played ethnic Java ostinato, I used Kentongan low and high pitch, Ceng2 bali, rebana, and jamblock on my left foot
this is my pedal set up,I Used it to opening Yamaha Band Blast 2009 in batam
left side is mine and right side is Alvin Drum Kit, Alvin is yamaha drum endorsee,he is Metal drummer from NOXA and Cemetery Dance Club (Indonesia), I played it to launching yamaha drum "ROCK TOUR" in Mega mall,Batam,Indonesia

NOTE; - Bro do us a Favor - When you stripe up the Kit to Polish the Metal Parts ... Pleae take a Picture of the Entire MLX Kit without any Metal Parts eg the RIMS on ... ..........

Hmm, I thought it is 1984 cos I went to check online and MLX was firstly introduced in 1984. Anyway, dun make much difference la. I have not stripped the rims and all apart. But I can take pics of the interior shells which are all lacquered black. And also thank you to edrummer who offered to help me setup this 6pc kit with the mountain of Pearl 2000 series hardware.

Nice kit! Mapex Meridian Maple is good
Haven't really had time (and space) to set up because of post-renovation cleaning up to do around the house. And army, of course.
Here's what I've been using so far:
15" Avedis Sweet hats
20" Oriental Crash of Doom
24" K Light Ride
14" x 8" Pearl Maple Freefloater (Hexagonal lugs)
20" x 12" Tempus Fibreglass bass drum (White finish with grey speckles with Champagne Sparkle hoops)
