I've got a pair of Fender Original Vintage pickups. Nice and bright and twangy.

Ya right ...!

The smart people of Fujigen, one of the companies that manufactures Fender's Japan-made guitars came up with the 'Foto-flame' in early 1990's.
It was more of a printing on than a picture glued on ....Despite being good they didn't last long !!!

...other Jap makes still carry on the tradition....... :D

Hi guys,

It's actually a solid (1/8"?) 5A flame maple top. It's an old US Standard tele that I bought in bad shape and sent to NNG in Thailand to retop and refinish.

So... much... flame.... Even the sofa cover looks like flame. 8O

I can't really tell for sure from the pic, but is the maple on the strat like those dropped tops that follow the forearm contour on the body?

If you don't mind me asking, how much did the job cost you? Giving me weird ideas about refinishing/retopping a dinged up strat. :P

Yeah...all the flame is a side effect of hanging out too long on the old PRSforum and not having enough cash for a PRS 8)
Sofa cover is cheapster blanket from Ikea.
Picture was taken before I applied the decal.

Anyways, the work, inclusive of shipping back from Bangkok comes in under US200. Much cheaper than a bare warmoth or USACG body.

www.nngguitars.com Prasit does really great work for the price.
