telecaster owners!!!

Chanmin, that's the price for each body. I think i paid us$20 more for the Tele to get 5A. The strat is 4A..... all this wood grading is quite subjective, no real system, but the tele's flame is a little better than the strat's. Either way I'm happy. :) btw, the strat did get the drop top treatment. been mistaken for a Tom anderson quite a few times already...

The strat's bridge pu is a SD JB Jr. I've been banging on it for a long time now and I'm still undecided on whether I love it or hate it. The neck and middle are SD Classic Stacks. great pickups, great tone, like them alot.

yeah! pay mrmisse a visit. he'll have 2 pedals with him by tomorrow.

I'm trying my darndest to make more pedals.

Hey, I had the exact same configuration a while ago. :)

SD Classic Stacks (old, not the plus) imo are very much you like it or you hate it - they don't sound singlecoilish to me, but they sound distinct and good in their own right.

The JB Jr I reckon is too bright on your guitar yea? Try wiring one of the tone knobs to curb some highs off.

If not, you might want to consider SD 59, which was what I considered at one point, but ended up selling the whole guitar instead.

Hi Thor,

The issue for me with the JB Jr's is not so much the brightness, but I find the pickup a little too focused. It's really great for fusion-type lead playing, but when I need to get funky, it's sometimes a little too much. I think there's something in the upper mids that causes it to cut like crazy through a band mix.....which isn't always a bad thing.

That's where the love/hate is for me.

Agree with you there - the JB Jr cuts very well. I personally feel the pickup would have worked for me on a different guitar - definitely not the maple/alder combo.

Thats the JB for you. Big high mid spike... abit of a love hate thing.

It can be tamed though, 250K pots.
