anyway the competition is weird. you have girl bands, boy bands, pop bands and rock bands. i have no idea how they're going to judge.

but yeah..i guess a boyband will win. then mediacorp will try marketing them to the singaporean girls but the girls will still turn to the japanese and korean and western boybands -_-

The ryhthm guitar distortion was like being fade down immdiately after you sang the first verse and suddenly fade up on the chorus after the solo...But the vocal is great with reverb added.

From the reports at MediaCorp SuperBand website, all the judges seems to like Rap-Rock band Qi:Nobe, Acapella group Juz-B and Boyband Soul alot...And Billy Koh said most of the bands all "self-high" except the 3 bands mentioned above and the rest needs alot improvements...What you all softies think?

I think it at least lets the public know that there are a pool of chinese rock bands existing and that there are indeed talents in the local scene. And that not all good chinese music talents are from Taiwan. It would be sort of a wake up call to the local audience I guess.

yeah luckily thanks to the serious of singing, acting, hosting n such competition.. otherwise y would mediacorp think of hosting a band competition? they noe nuts abt rock music.. i think this just the begining the burst of our local celebs!

most vocals suffer pitch problem. dont know if there were any issue with the monitoring or not.

sound mixing could be better. they should multitrack it and do a better mixdown back in the studio. coz we should not fault the contestants because the live mixing was bad.

video production was good. lighting could be improve to give a more 'live' feel instead of the studio feel.
