To be fair, I don't think it was necessarily a case of people disrespecting female musicians (in this specific case, for most of this thread, anyway). Rather, it seemed to be a case of people feeling that female musicians that posted pictures of themselves here would actually be disrespecting themselves.
Sort of like "hey, if you want real respect, why on earth are you doing something that seems so disrespectful to your own self?"

i know someone's gonna retort this, maybe, but hell, it doesnt really matter if u're a girl or a guy. if u kick ass, u kick ass. Angela Gossow can kick anyone's ass.

dont see anything wrong with a girl posing with her instrument....heck, more women in the local scene would make it more interesting than it already is.

Okay. Sorry for those posts I've made earlier. But the point is, compare your photos to the guys' photos. You'll see quite a great difference. Theirs is of gigs and jamming but yours just seems to be for attracting sexual appeal. I don't mind kerplunk182's photos because hers, is similar to what the guys are posting. I'm not picking on the females, I'm just picking on the type of photos that people take to show that they play an instrument. Or so they say. So maybe change the photos and I won't criticize you anymore.
