Speaker Upgrades and Speaker Cabinets

Just a thought here but how many would be interested to acquire speakers and cabs in 2 x 12 or 4 x 12 configurations.

Also how many here are interested to upgrade their stock speakers to either or combinations of V30's and Greenbacks.

Tubes, Tubes, Tubes...

Another topic of growing interest here brought to my attention is about Tubes. Rectifier Tubes, Pre Amp Tubes, Power Amp Tubes. NOS Tubes, New Tubes, Reissue Tubes, this and that Tube. What tube brand/model is hot and what's not. To bias or not, hot or cold which is better?

This is in my opinion a rather exciting but also rather controversial subject which will likely raise alot of eyebrows and tantrums along the way.

Tube Amp Model Highlight - Hughes and Kettner Triamp

Working on various amps I came upon the Hughes & Kettner Triamp 100w Headwhich has 3 channels with additional 2 selections within each channel which makes it a total of 6 recallable with the footswitch or MIDI!

Using 9 x Preamp Tubes + 4 x EL34 Power Tubes

Serviced it and plugged into my V30s loaded Carvin 4x12 Cab and was absolutely blown away! I've never heard an amp that has tonal and drive range of such excellent quality from JC like clean to Mesa on steroids! Oh in case u'r wonderin' I was using my Lindy Fralins loaded Fender '54 Custom Shop Strat straight into the head!

Hands down this is the best amp I've heard in years.

...and now these guys ave the Triamp MKII! OMG!

Goosey! Oh btw, I tried your Boosty and commend you for a great job done there...and purple somemore! Hehehe!

I'd highly recommend the Boosty as another good contender for Clean Boost options.

I'll interested!!! If possible, i may swap out a V30 from my 2x12 for something else. I would like to try the EV speakers but the price..ouch..

Well, not really in the configurations you mentioned, but I would be interested in a 1X12 closed back cab fitted with a Celestion Greenback or Eminence Private Jack. I wouldn't mind an empty cab as well.

I have a pair of V30s in my cab. It's made by ceriatone. It's very hard to find a 2x12 here locally.

Anybody here interested to order 2x12 cabs do let me know. I'm trying to consolidate orders to share shipping charges for a one stop supply for V30s, Greenbacks and a few other speakers with 2x12 & 4x12. Hopefully we can combine together.

Off by a long shot, but any chance of a 1x12? Have 2 speakers and 1 1x12 cab, need to house the other speaker. (No, have no intention of selling either. They're wonderful to my ears.)
