Problems in the MRT

Dude, poly students pay the full fare while JC students enjoy concession rate. Tell me man, is it unfair?

Lets see, we JC kids have to wake up at unearthly hours on weekdays, some weekends too. Have to wear an ugly ass uniform. Have to conform to about as many rules as there are in the prisons. Have to bear with studying rubbish that we know is never going to be useful(i got forced into a JC man).

well guess u all havent heard of my story

my fren and i were in bus number from punggol to pasirris. the bus was crowded. as in only 1 more person can get on the bus. then this cleopatra woman(her hair like cleopatra) was like shouting from outside to the driver demanding him to tell the passengers to move in. for ~30secs she was like shouting. for someone in smart office uniform, i wouldnt expect that from her.

that not enough, a sitting passenger rose up the alight the bus. seeing the empty seat, my fren was just about to sit down, when she came rushing in pushing everybody and stopping my fren with her hand, stared at my fren and said "i want to sit" my fren was like #$^%#@ up. but fighting back would create a fuss and waste time. she had already wasted 2 minutes. woah.

a phrase: SOME PEOPLE AH...AIYA....

whatever it is, we all are given choices, and are obliged to experience the consequences. want go poly? pay adult fare lor? want go JC? wear ugly uniform lor. there's always pros and cons. the part that u were forced, its rather personal and are subjected to individuals, not as a whole.

dei mrt la not bus^^

hahaha.lol.the lady who rushed to the sit must be really old or something.

yalayala. bus la. ok la. u want, i make new thread "Problems in the SBS".

another issue. MRT is a company. train is the thing. "i take MRT to school" is like "i take SBS" but...WHAT THE HECK. haha.

haha SMRT also got bus and taxis. :) haha.

I had more probs in busses than trains. If u noticed, from the time the Mrt trains were borned, theres no vandalisms LOL!

Cool uh.

Buses.. sighhh.... haha/

haha alright.
this happened when me and my rhythm guitarist were on attachment at esplanade.

the train was crowded and we were very sleepy cos it was like, early in the morning. 8+am. hehe:mrgreen: sorry it was during the holidays so wasnt used to waking up early.
so we were sleepy and at, Commonwealth, i think, this guy came in and and cried,"There's no ghost in the centre!", waking us up and moved towardsthe railings in the centre. problem was, the place was too crowded and there's no more room in the centre.
he continues saying aloud,"I am the only ghost! There's no ghost in the centre!"
he also kept saying that he was an engineer. and that the nest stop was NUS. he boomed out,"Next stop is NUS! Anybody going down? Aiyah not qualified."

me and my friend looked at each other and had the wtf? face on.

he kept repeating that till he dropped off at Outram Park or something.
crazy dude that was. though i do appreciate the unpredictability early in the morning.

oh and buses. this happened on wednesday.

i went to pick up my repaired headphones and took a bus towards plaza singapura with my rhythm guitarist and keyboardist.
we took a bus and it slowly became packed. then there was this old chinese guy (red hair, tatooed, with earrings. he looked like any old ah pek but a lil bit more modernised.)
the bus was packed.he was standing at the exit door and i was near him. there was an empty space behind him and people wont move in. he kept pointing to that space and mumbling loudly in chinese.

when somebody near him stood up, he quickly took that seat. he folded his arms and still kept saying remarks in chinese. i saw his face. it was really like those know-it-alls who have imaginary friends, if you know what i mean.

when he dropped off at Serangoon, everything was quiet.

Recently I was sitting down on a seat in the train when this lady walked in.

Well, seeing that she was 'pregnant', I tried to offer her my seat.
Turns out she wasn't pregnant, but fat, and she gave me a stare ._.

Hm, has anyone had the same experience as this? :(

opposite , i didnt give up my seat to some super fat lady (totally didnt know she was pregnant) and she passed this comment 'teenagers these days are so self centered' , obviously directed at me , so i said sorry giving my seat up to fat people is not my social responsibility rather loudly , then her friend told me she was pregnant , and i swear i could hear some snickers in the background , the train journey after that was rather awkward

grass is always greener on the other side. see uniforms all day and you'll get sick of them and yearn for the mini-skirts of polytechnic academia.

The other time my friend and i were on the way back from Marina Bay and when we arrived at Orchard station, all the maids rushed in. So one walked towards us and said "Hi, can i sit?" *smiles* My friend and i got a bit shocked so she just replied "Uh, ya" and continued to sit. Then the maid asked the same question again and my friend replied "No". Basically cause she had no physical difficulties. Mental difficulties perhaps?

Oh and sometimes when i'm with my band after jamming during the peak hours, Singaporeans rush in without sparing a thought for us cause they think our gear is damn light. Hmmpfxz.

another classic , when the door opened , all rush in. and those inside hard to come out.

Thats legend!

Why must they rush in? The doors wont close if theres people still going in. The driver knows.

It's not difficult to understand bah.. everyone is tired at the end of the day, even musicians carrying heavy gear? and it's like an innate ability to look after your own needs first so I guess some people take it to the extremes...

ONCE HOWEVER i was in a very packed train, and some people needed to get off, and i happened to be nearer to the door, so I did the RIGHT thing and stepped out of the train to let people get off, and tried to get back in again BUT those vultures camping outside rushed in, and because I didn't want to elbow anyone I got thrown out of that train

Kind of a bad experience, so many horror stories.. I guess these people either don't believe in karma or they are really really very thick-skinned people.

hmm i have no issues on mrt leh, buses can? haha

the thing that irritates me most on buses is that, you know those seats that faces each other? i can't believe some old people can happily remove their shoes/slippers then put their disgusting rotten feet up on the opposite seat. they damn relax, but who dare to sit there afterwards? damn inconsiderate lah.

then recently i was sitting peacefully in the bus when this smoker came up and sit right next to me! cheesepie i almost tio asthma sia... from all the second hand smoke oozing out of him. please lah next time you smoke want to die young its your business, don't spread your smoke to other people. jesus...

inside bus still can smoke? wah bad.

but heck..i was once rushing home, smoke halfway, bus came. extinguish it temporarily and just held it in my hands. but heck on the bus, strangely it lighted itself. damn i clenched till my hand burnt but it continued lighting.

best one ever.

when the bus is so full and some bugger comes in by the exit door and actually taps his/her card, ofcourse fail lah. irritating.
