LOL I live in the Jurong West area so I observe them from where I stand in the train. Ya it freaking sucks when everyone tries to squeeze in. Absolutely hate it, I can't move so that means I can't read my book, can't watch Simpsons on my iPod and can't dig my nose and flick my peesai at them.

I usually wait for the next train if I can't get in. You never know, you might have this person with BO right beside you if you squeeze in. Eeek. I rather be late than to be holding my breath half the damn time. I'm usually late anyway so I usually miss the crowd.

Oh Mc's? I thought Mc's uniform is this Ben Sherman-like shirt. Sorry ah, I upglade to Clystal Jade already hor.

i really hate those kaypo ppl who keep looking/staring at my psp whenever i'm playing wif it.it's like wat so interesting that they have to keep looking at wat i'm playing.haha
just gimme some privacy and let me enjoy my game man!
oh and i took the train every week.from bedok to clementi to meet my gf.heh

how about ppl who "read" your newspapers over your shoulder?

hahaha. I've encountered that before. I was reading my newspaper and the guy was reading it too. After a while, I asked him,"Finished reading already or not?" He looked away awkwardly. Also, if you don't want people to sit next to you in the bus, just stare them in the eyes. This enlarges your personal space :)

Wtf.. That's extremely selfish dude.. Aren't you as bad or even worse than the people discussed about here?

I really hate it when people sit at the outer sit of the bus.. It is a sign that you don't want people to share sits.. Shouldn't you move in instead of sitting outside, so that the person who wants to sit don't have to struggle to squeeze into the inner sit? Most don't even give way man.. They tuck in their knees just a little, thinking that people can squeeze in through..

I have no choice but to sit on the outer seat on most buses, cos my legs are too long. So one of my knees kinda sticks out. but i'm more than glad to let in the people who want to sit on the inside.

the spaces between seats are too small! and the upper level on the double decker bus has a low ceiling. sometimes it's not good to be tall.

Yeah man.. I'm not referring to everyone..

But some people certainly get on the nerves.. Packed bus yet can place their plastic bags on the inner sit..

Tell you all a ridiculous story.. Usually when I'm sitting on the outer sit, I'd stand up and give way to the passenger in the inner sit when he/she is about to leave.. There was once I did that, and a kiasu couple squeezed in as the guy was still trying to leave his seat.. I was left standing there, feeling pissed that they did such a thing when all I did was give way.. There was another sit next to where I was, so I just sat down..

All these can't be helped when we live in such a society.. Btw, I think they should impose fines on playing loud music in the buses/MRTs on their handphones/PSPs.. Hmmm.. Maybe they shouldn't, seeing that these people are too poor to afford earphones..

Chill Dude. I just learnt that in Social Psychology and communication. This just enlarges your personal space thus makin others feel uncomfortable or guilty to stand near you. So I tried to test the theory out. Well, it works. hahaha. I'm not trying to be rude or anything. I apologize if I offend any of you guys.

As for the plastic bag thing, I guess it's a conformity that people use. Once they think it's alright to place plastic bags in empty seats, others will follow suit. It just takes one brave guy to break away from conformity and others will follow you. What I mean is if there is a a rushing auntie or something like that, stop her and give her a dressing down instead of just keeping quiet because the rest will follow your actions soon :)

usually i am quite nice one, after reading all these post today i took train to work, getting down that time there was this fat kid who like damn kiasu block the whole door. so when the doors open i followed the advice given here just walk out n bang the fat kid hahaha was quite funny cos he kena quite jialat from me. then on top of that he kena scolded by some auntie behind me saying he so fat should not block the door n give way to alighting passengers that was a good one.

Hehe the reason people don't want to sit next to you isn't that staring enlarges the personal space, they just don't want to get splattered with p00p from an asshat.
