I remember starting a thread on the Tickle-Me-Emo vid, then it got took down just because it was listed as a bad joke. Should i be emo for that?

the true emo is not the music, action nor fashion, but us who after seeing the article and reacting in all sort of ways in the thread. Before we say what is emo, we must look into the mirror and reflect on ourself, accepting the fact that we are as emo in the sense of non musical sense!

We, are EMO :lol:

EMo Music Is Nothing COmpared to the trendsetters. THose Emo hair etc.

EMo music is just music. Music Is Universal.

But its the culture of Emos that makes us talking/arguing.

So yeah, Don't compare Emos with the music.

Its the culture thats disturbing. No offence to EMOs out there. Dressing wise is acceptable. But dun go and Cut Wrists and vandalise on walls talking bout PAIN etc etc. :)

XbatupahatisthereasonX is the best band in the world. Although i have not heard a single song but they are the most powerful band for not releasing a single song and yet be so emotionally intense!

Wow, Ian. ALthough i totally agree with you that The Beatles are the best band to ever exist on the face of this earth and Clapton is one of the greatest guys who defined guitaring, I think it ain't going to help enforcing our believes on emo kids so y'know, let them like what they like. After all, I think a person's journey into music is where one matures in the end. So I doubt the same person ten to fifteen years later would be wearing thick eyeliner, tight pink tees and stuff like that.

OK. So we now know what emo is not (or do we?). Can we now define it? What exactly is emo? Or does it even exist?

emo=fugazi,rites of spring,texas is the reason.sunny day real estate.jimmy eat world[before they changed thier sound].

emo is not what the straits times reported or what the ignorant people in the scene say it is.
