Opinions on emo

Whatever it is... I think Emo as music is music. Emo as people hmmm... i don't think they should be call emo. The better name is scene kids. but well... it's not something bad. It kind of making a balance. Like Ying and Yang lol
 
it's not only emo kids who slash their wrists. i'm sure u've heard of black metal-heads slashing their wrists/ body parts as well.
 
Emo music is just music yes. Although i hate it i accept the fact that it is music. But emo fashion/culture is really bad. They look bad, and people dont label them as wrist slitters until they give people the impression of it. And why is it that emo people are gay? To me, they're not really gay they just want attention. Same goes to their dressing and life. So basically emo culture sucks its only for attention seekers.

But if u are not gay, then stop kissing other guys. Its so attention grabbing.
 
oh but black metal is way better than emo in terms of music, therefore i like emo much less than black metal although people involved in both genre might have the tendency to mutilate themselves.
 
oh and to add on, i'm glad i listen to rock/ hard rock/ metal n play guitar now so i dont get fooled into following the current fab. a few yrs back i was like an idiot who gets crazed with every new mainstream release. i subconciously knew most of them were crappy but i juz listened n pretended that i like them cuz everybody was listening to them.

n then i saw the video for alter bridges' "open your eyes" n my eyes were opened to the whole shred thing. then i began sourcing out 80's metal songs which have solos played at 1000000 mph. i still pretty much listen to those songs now.

so in a way, metal n hard rock saved me from this current emo "fab" (in which i would have lost a LOT of blood if i followed lol). n so did playing the guitar :)
 
I've seen an idiot with that typical chinese boyband mophead hairstyle , wearing mascara , looking glummy and a camera in his hand taking candid shots of himself IN FRONT OF THIS GIRL. Attention seeking obviously.

Trust me you can tell a difference between a typical emokid mophead hairstyle and a typical mando pop boyband mophead hairstyle. That idiot belong to the latter.

I swear if I ever had the chance to go back in time , I would have probably created a scene with that idiot there because that idiot was seated directly behind me while I was having dinner! Just too bad I was with my female friends and so must tone down a bit.
 
emo music...the vocal part just gets to u and u feel like slitting the dude's throat. melody wise ok lah...sounds like pop stuff , ill agree wit u james 8)

Thank god I graduated from sec school before the emo fad became rampant! My sec schools is one of those english speaking mission schools and so they are more receptive of western influences. Yes there are emokids in my sec school right now....
 
that lead us to another social issue of homophobia. Which we/me/you/he/he-she/him/his cannot come to term that our own kind kissed another man. Where in the deep deep hidden self could symbolise the self denial of certain aspect of subconscious behavious of the same kind.

Its time to open up and accept Rob Halford as one of us, human being, not man lover...
 
since these emo kids lives are so bad,why dont they just kill themselves and stop seeking attention and stealing all the chicks! :twisted:
