so why not u dun get too emo, record a vid of u singing and post it here.
we will see la if u can make it or not. even if ur parents have money for ur future music career, it will make no sense if u cant sing.

dun be afraid. just post ur videos singing. take it as a learning step and exposure.

I do know for one lots of Asian message boards have censorship, you might want to edit it to sound less, umm, suggestive before something happens.

What a silly thing to say! We're talking about his parents here, parents are the people who painstakingly brought him up and cared for him. You'd advise him to 'tolerate' his mom and then stay away from home later? hmm..

I think singing is the most judge-able musical ability, most people (I think) can tell whether someone is good or not. I am not saying that you aren't good, I'm saying you should post a video or recording up to prove people who think you aren't good wrong! And if you really aren't that good, so be it. At least you would know yourself

Criticism are everywhere,you cannot please everyone, just that it is a little unfortunate it comes from your mum...

but take every one of them seriously, ask her why?

and take it as a means to improve..

if no one say u r bad, you may think u are good, and u may never improve.

But if someone comment on it negatively, it may be a driving force for you to look for improvement...practise harder, work on technique..

Most rock singer based on technique, i read a book about them...

you may see that they are just screaming on stage, but hell lot of technique involved..

They inteviewed people like Bruce Dickinson, Steven Tyler...and all these people really know how to sing correctly, not just screaming..
