I think... THINK., that turbochicken went thru that?
sheesh, erm, yea i did. for the band, choir and "artiste".
not exactly a good experience. some soft looking soft speaking guys, 3 in fact, sat and stood at the piano with me standing infront of them. i had to sing a song (along with an instrument, my choice). then they told me to face my back toward them and sing out the middle note of whatever chord they struck. that's it.
my sense of harmony was bad so i flunked. they told me with my voice i should try out for the "artiste".
artiste was about dancing singing and acting, and you had to be competent in any 2 of the 3. i passed the singing. fullstop.
the band was out on a roadshow or something when i went in for audition, in '99. everyone was out, the person left to conduct the audition was some pot bellied bloke.
drumkit was incomplete. no hats, no crash. one ride, one kick, one tenor drum, one snare. i was asked to play standard stuff like bossa, rumba, chachacha, rock, 6/8 groove, funk etc. i can read, but he didn't test me.
toward the end, he asked my pes status. i said B, due to G6PD.
they said "oh", and never replied.
