Hello guys.. dunno where I shd post this but anyway just to share something quick.

Yesterday on my way back on bus 61 from city hall to the west.. I boarded the bus with an old lady carrying many things and the bus is crowded. I saw this fat bass player and his fat gutarist fren sitting at the "give seats to the elderly or disable' and they were talking to each other and nvr even gave up their seats for the old lady.. a middle aged lady wanna give up her seat even though she was carrying a lot of stuff.
The old lady didnt wanna sit andlater i found out that she didnt wanna trouble that lady and she think tt the youngerster shd give up their seats.
Such ignorance musicians.. what a disgrace as bass player.

Hope we will learn to be better citizens.. good skills and also caring for pple ard.

Cheers,
Ben

There's no connection to this: music and courtesy. Musicians are merely humans and there's no "code of conduct" for music. Maybe dressing ya?

At the end of the day, we see on this, the onus is on us to lead by example, and educate our kids next time.

I suppose.. its not right for u to comment on that. there are so many ppl who dun do the right thing on buses i have seen.. theres nothing wrong with their attitude.. probably the nature of sgporeans.. would u say that u have 100% given up ur seats to the elderly/disabled/pregnant/children when u are onboard? no offense, just my 2 cents.

^haha

Anyway, one reason they didn't give up their seat is because they're fat and carrying basses+guitars. I don't always give up my seat, depending on the situation. If there's alot of place to stand,i will give up my seat BECAUSE i will be able to stand and not take up more space standing. Sometimes in the bus the bus is so packed that for me to even stand up is difficult, let alone offer a seat. Maybe if you're 1.9m tall you will understand one day, that people sometimes dont sit for the sake of sitting, sometimes they give up seat and ppl never take, and then they feel like dumbasses cause no one sit in that empty sit, which has happened to me before. However, i have also given up my seat and people have taken them. My moral of the story, look at the situation first.
