i like seats at a rock concert though, especially if its going to be damn long. but anyway i dont really care.

i think the bands today were pretty weak. the shine&shine&shine&shine were cute. and typecast was pretty alright too. can't wait for tmr. MIDNIGHT MARVEL. YEAH.

The way I see it, is that there isnt only one way of enjoying rock music. Just because the audience sat down does not neccessarily mean that the performers were inferior/sucky.

exactly, i actually much prefer to sit down and watch what they're doing. however i understand bands need some sort of energy from the crowd to give back the energy to the crowd.

it's a typical Singapore audience.

also, i think the design of that new outdoor theatre is not conducive for rock concerts maybe for classical or brass band performances

doesn't work for me, which is a great pity - the makeshift stage they had last year had much more atmosphere

What the hell's with the crowd man... Esmond invited people to stand up and come forward during Vertical Rush's last song and my friend and I were the only 2 people to get to the front of the stage... Its either the people there hated Vertical Rush or they got too lazy and their butts were glued to the seats/floor... wtf man I've never seen such poor receptivity at Baybeats before. The crowd was large but they sat and watched a rock concert as if it was some classy orchestral performance!

THE LAST BAND AND LAST SONG AND TWO PEOPLE STOOD UP! gratz!

To quote Sao Feng - "Welcome to Singapore!" That's the Singapore crowd for you - sad to say we're a shy and passive bunch compared to many other places.

Anyway a couple of acts were outstandingly brilliant last night - VR, Leeson & Peepshow...Peepshow were explosive from start to end! :mrgreen:.

Were you there? The way I see it, when a good band's playing the final set of the night invites people to stand up and they don't, the audience is not giving them any face/respect they deserve. We just need put ourselves in their shoes to know how it feels.
