Which Dist. pedal suits my needs?

u can try thr digitech grunge, cheap and really great and MASSIVE!!,, gt2 and metal muff are awesome heavy distortions too. if u looking for simply massive... try the landmine,
boss metalcore is really pretty damn heavy too . mt2 not ma cuppa tea.

bogner ubershall FTW.

or actually more realistically, the mesa boogie express series for budget reasons.

actually on a more serious note, why do ppl tend to look for pedals to solve their "the tone" need? why not invest in a good amp?

i get you, but its really quite hard to get a "guitarist-in-a-box" you know what im saying.. hmm ohwell.. not say some "crunch worthy" amps are not portable..

LAZY.

i lug my twin to wherever i play live. lol

Not sure abt the Rampage, but I'm using the Uber Metal. It definitely suits my needs for a distortion pedal but you'd need to be patient with the tweaking and finding the kind of tone you want.

Alot of people will have comment on this pedal so I'd recommend you to try it out. It definitely has more oomph in jamming levels.

i never thought i'd say it but the crunchbox is just different, i wont say its the BEST or the MOST POWER, the sound's unique, clean and crisp. go figure.

the Rampage isn't a metal-type distortion per se although what it offers is beyond the BOSS DS-1 intensity. review is available in the database...
