Watch Live 'n' Loaded on 27 Jan 8.30pm on 5!!

Glad most of you caught the show on TV! And some of you who caught it online.

The extra song that The Great Spy Experiment performed is called "The Lights". It will soon be uploaded on our website 5.mediacorptv.sg/livenloaded for viewing and downloads, along with outtakes from the rehearsals by Ling Kai & Electrico as well.

Audio wise, I have to say that it is really quite a challenge for my sound team to mix a band's sound for TV when all the multi-tracks go through TV broadcast compression.

It is very different being there to experience watching it live as compared to hearing it at the comfort of your couch. I'm sure those people who were there tonight in the studio will say the PA sound came out differently.

Nonetheless, we are taking notes of all your feedback and we'll work on it! And you all should be glad to know that bands you demanded like Force Vomit, Stoned Revivals, etc are all gonna be appearing in the later episodes of the series.

I'm glad we were able to pull this off amidst much criticism that local music will not appeal to the mass TV audience. It's only Episode 1, nine more to go, and it can only get better.

Thanks to all, and cheers!

good effort! its cool that its 1 hour of local music. :D

but i got to agree that the camera work was horrible though. it gave me headaches! i know they want to make it look exciting and all but surely they don't have to zoom in and out so repetitively yes? it would be pretty sufficient if they just changed angles and shot sizes. i thought the shot of someone upside down was the ultimate worse. :O

anyway i enjoyed some of the bands on the show.

.... was thinking maybe they should include the more 'senior' bands in our indie scene that paved the way for these newer bands such as : Force Vomit,Stoned Revivals,Marilyns etc.

it'll be great to see other hot underground local acts that influenced our scene like Serenaide (long live serenaide!), B-Quartet (genius..really) et. too.

I agree 100%!

The shots were quite nice, the angles and especially the shots of drummer spinning sticks, vocalist's expressions. However, it was just a little overbearing on me when going in and out too much. I was however very impressed with the film quality! It was not the usual drama sitcom quality, more "digital" kind of feel I think..??? LOL! Very classy feel! I'm just only suggesting that perhaps it could be more like the Grammys or certain concert kind of video shooting as compared to "in-out", "shaking about" kind??? I'm really dodo about camera stuff but that's what got me to switch channels. I was on for like a minute and all my friends could not take the shaking no more!!! Mercy mercy mercy!!! LOL! The sound was actually really good for TV broadcasting!!!! Top class in fact considering that it's TV!!! :) Thanks for a nice show and Utt is the best... heh...

freaking dope

woah. for real uh!?

itll be great to see them (force vomit, stoned revivials etc) on air man. ill be eagerly waiting for sure.

anwyays, the crowd is superb. goes to show that we've got a bunch of enthusiastic young and sporting generation. singapores future is in good hands indeed.

Really awesome show I must say!
Really good work.
Was at town playing pool while watching the show.
I felt very proud to see local acts live on tv.
Its a dream come true!

When the hiphop act starts to 'act' their stuffs, I simply go back playing my pool. HAHA! irritating!

Camera works could be better. Headache la dey! haha. But in all, SUPERB! Hope theres no last episode for Live N Loaded.

Live N Loaded FTW! Hope to see LIVE n LOADED live outdoor over 10,000 audiences at padang someday! HAHAHAH!

totally agree with both comments made above.haha

oh wells.

you cant please everybody rite.

anyways, lets just keep our mouths shut and wiat for the next few episodes.haha

i think the hip hop act was ok. you guys have to understand that most of them are not like the hip hop stars in US where u have producers writing their music for them. i know a few of our very own hiphop artistes, and trust me they are just like you and me. at least it was original. its part of their performance to have dancers and rapping and what have you, just like how i need my guitar to perform on stage. and trust me when i say this, they have improved by leaps and bounds.
im really proud of the state of hiphop music in singapore, in terms of production, exposure and direction. remember, SUPPORT LOCAL.
my only gripe is the somewhat lack of substance with some of the artistes. and i dare to say we have it as well in our very own rock scene. the lack of substance.

and yes, the camera shots felt like the cameras were being handled by someone high on illicit substance!! haha haha haha. but somewhat expected, and i only hope it could be better!

great way to start the "year" i might say, live n loaded, you guys deserve a pat on the back!
next week's line up is interesting, so do turn in to ur telly and watch!

dude, our homegrown bands are also very guilty of faking accents... so yea lay off the hip hoppers. much respect to them for going out there and doing their thing.

to the LnL crew, great first show, agree with everyone on the camerawork - the rapid zooming thing is not cool. but the camera guys got some nice shots though, just that the editing could have been tighter and more directed - didn't really get a sense of narrative or flow throughout the performances. audio was... well i think you guys know better than i do so i'll just leave it at that.

again, can't wait to BE THERE next week :D

"wat's up ya'll??"

haha. cmon, for one, i am not a fan of hip hop rap watsoever, but hey, theyre musicians too arent they.so let us indie/alternative fellows give them a pat on the back and lets for once show the dumbnuts out there who noes nutting bout our local music scene that we've got a bunch of talented acts that are just as good as those foreign acts.

cmon people.

i think its a step in the right direction. heads up to everyone that has been pushing for local acts to receive and garner more attention in the public eye. i mean think about it, first there was baybeats, then there was lime sonic bang and our own hour on national radio, and now our own hour, every week (although for 10 episodes), on NATIONAL television. i think its fabulous that a diverse range of local acts gets an opportunity like this. what next? regular programming?

sure, you can't please everyone with the acts you get on tv, but then again, this is how television works, cast the widest net you've got and hope for the best. besides, the show is essentially, the image of our local scene.

biopromax sir, i understand you run whatlah project and you've been an advocate of local music, but do practice some tact and discretion. when you go around saying how much you love local music, and then go on to say how much the hip hop act doesnt have much substance, to attract you, people arent gonna really take you seriously when you voice your opinions. my $1.
