Wanted Man! Shoplifting at SV Guitars.

and once again stomp proves itself to be a place where ppl who have nothing better to do just go there and talk crap w/o caring what others think of them :)

Yeah its kinda become a shame wall for us Singaporeans now.I sometimes wonder how would foreigners or people from other countries think of our country when they chance upon the site. :???:

how.is.that.even.possible...??

but i must stress, guys, if you see someone who looks like him walking on the street please PLEASE don't go out of your way to whack him, vigilante justice might just get you into trouble, especially if he's a lookalike.

but... looking at the CCTV, and hugging the guitar out.. sigh what a fool

Erm actually no. I have an account there and I don't go to the Singapore Seen section and talk crap, and if you read properly, there are quite a few Stompers criticizing the person who sent those shit and the admins of Stomp. I only post in talkback. Also, if you want to blame, you should blame the staffs of Stomp who posted all the shit on the Singapore Seen section. They just wanna have more users logging in to Stomp.

Wow, that's quite a feat. I wish I could do that, but I will always feel guilty after taking it away. I can't be a criminal I guess. I'm not trying to be a cool f**k and saying all this, these are only my thoughts. :)

I really feel bad for the owner of the store, I was just there a few days ago trying out a pedal. Hmm...maybe you should hire more people to tend the store? Hire me :D

Yeah, I know and can relate to this sort of adrenalin rush and excitement when you pull off such a stunt.. Hahaha!!!

I mean, yeah it may not be stealing but sometimes when you just want to try something and see what happens and see whether you've got the guts to do it, and when you do - WOW!

The feeling is shioooook...!!!!

It's only for those ballsy enough and willing to take calculated risks.

We'll do well to become stock traders.:mrgreen::mrgreen:

And in no way was I being insensitive towards the owner of the store. I really like SV being at Penin by the way, real convenience. It's like a basement of guitar convenience stores.

Everyone.. If we could find out this person.. jus wrack his ass off.. I can't believe that this happen to this shop.. should happen to Daivs or (Opps..)

This kind of thing should NOT be wished upon any guitar shop and if you think wacking people will solve theft problems in the world youre sorely mistaken.

That said how bout the punk wannabes on this thread start analyzing the situation abit more practically like the others to prevent future theft and if possible catch this guy instead of just going around saying, ' dont wry see i will wack.' kinda bullshit.

I think at soft we could do a lookout for any deals selling that guitar - i think our community is wide enough to cover a large number of guitarists/ enthusiasts and if this guy tries to "cash in", we might be able to see.

Hey Mike,

Sorry to hear about this incident.

The place has been a criminal hot-spot of late. My wallet was stolen from my bag, from behind the counter at Parklane recently. I lost everything, IC, credit cards; the works.
CCTV caught him in the act, all he took was 2 mins in and out the shop.
These guys are seasoned pros.
And Zen almost had something similar happen, fortunately the neighboring store owners were around and I guess that prevented the theft/burglary.

These jokers often prey on shops manned by a single staff. And sometimes when things get busy, it's really hard to keep track of everyone in the shop. That's when they strike.

Just a word of advise, continue to keep the security tight.
The same fellow who stole my wallet came into the shop again a week later when my colleague was on duty, hoping to score again.

Apparently, they are not adverse to returning to the crime-scene.
They are either too foolhardy or just plain stupid. Either way, we stand to lose.

At Hell's Labyrinth, we keep a really nice aluminium bat (softball or baseball don't know) handy in menacing view. Try anything funny, and watch out, Come Hither O Herald of Death!

its not be That hard to keep track of this guitar, i mean its a Swing Prism, Go Figure.

he prolly still has this guitar on hand

I was at PS last year and a similar thing happened at Yamaha.. a kid tried to walk out with an acoustic guitar.. but he got caught... the alarm went off and he ran off without the guitar.. sheesh.

Hi,

If you can zoom the face and set a resolution, i think you'll have a clear face of this asshole. Then try to run through the police data.

Its just a suggestion.
