Wanted Man! Shoplifting at SV Guitars.

Maybe Standardvalue could also take this as a lesson? (no offense) To be honest, I feel that the more expensive guitars should not be placed so close to the entrance. Somebody could just run and grab the guitar... and the entrance of the basement is just beside the shop...

Wow, so brazen.
It looks like a planned operation. As in there must be at least another accomplice standing nearby with an empty gig bag in his hands, while another keep a lookout at the entrance of the shop.
Cos thieves aren't that stupid to be walking around City Hall with an electric guitar without a case. That would be suicidal in case they were caught in action and made a dash for it, and subsequently chased by the store staff.
I suppose the police have their mug shots by now from the store, and hopefully from the building's CCTV too, and I hope they get caught soon.
Singapore is small and one stupid move like trying to sell it to Cash Converters will be the end of these desperadoes.
I hope the mods can make this thread a sticky, and Softies can help spread this in other forums and keep a lookout for these fat losers.

Maybe SV guitars should keep the more expensive guitars at a store at the back of the shop? Heard the stolen one is around 1.1k, so prob not anyone who walks into the shop will get that. Only those who are looking for a specific one, will enquire for it, no?
Not only SV guitars, all guitar shops should, unless it's one that sells all expensive guitars, but that's another matter. Guitars would probably be chained up or something

This is not the first story of guitar theft in peninsular I heard. Seems to be quite common in peninsular leh. Although, this is the first time a guitar was stolen direct from a shop. Must not let my guitar out of sight the next time if I bring it there......

hmm.. mike.. maybe u track back the video.. i think he aim very long alr... he got the motive... try to review back the video more... anyway u can also check with the other guitar shop owner and view the cctv too... if he bought a case with nets... the police will take action... =D

Yep this guy sure knows his guitars well, he was looking for an easy target and bang, there you go the prism, located so near the entrance. I'm sure there was someone outside with a gig bag waiting for him. It would surely attract unwanted attention if he were to lug it back home without one.

lol i don't think i see a PRS al di meola prism in Davis ??? but lols yea he's dead cos he couldn't find it he got a swing prism.
