Vox V847 Wah Mods

I didn't want to start a new thread, so I just dug up this one. I was planning to do a true bypass mod on my Vox 847, using guidelines and schematics I got from fulltone.com...this one:

But when I opened up my wah, (I hardly do since I use an adaptor) the PCB and wires are all different! For one thing, the black and red wire meant for the 9V battery isn't together with the other wires that's connected to the input, output, SPDT, etc, as shown in the schematics on the website. Instead, the red/black wire is isolated on another part of the PCB. That's not all...according to the schematics, there's supposed to be 6 wires connected to the PCB (excluding the red/black battery wire) but I only have 5. Can anyone shed some light on this? I'm really a noob on this, and I tried to look for other sources on the web, but they all point to the exact same schematics.

if you have no prior playing time with the innard thingy, it will be really really not a good idea to just follow the instruction available. Find some tech to do it for you instead. Manufacturer might changed their pcb layout from time to time for upgrade or more economical issues when mass printing the board.

and if you still wanna do it, without following the info, you will have to trace the wiring. Find out which wire carry the signal flow, from the input jack, to the dpdt/3pdt then to the pcb, and from the pcb, to the wah pot, from wah pot out to dpdt/3pdt and finally output jack.

along the way, you need to know how the dpdt or 3pdt when pressed, will route the signal flow(either into the wah circuit board, wah pot, back to stomp switch and to output jack or straight from input to output jack)

other than the flow of the signal, read up or google round how a mono jack, stereo jack(usually for input jack and wired as a switch, to "on" pedal when using battery and plugging in the cable), , spdt, dpdt, 3pdt, potentiometer works. Knowing how each of these components in a pedal work, often will make things easier.

in short, if no exact info, basically can only traced everything out(excluding the circuit board) and follow the flow of the wires, from the input jack, output jack, power jack, LED(if any), spdt etc, inorder to put in a stompswitch for true bypass.

anyway, for disclaimer: I have only mess with, either destroying circuits and building some non geetar effect based sound generator, the above just a basic guide for figuring out where to put in switches and other thingy in a pedal. It aint exact info on how to TB a vox wah.

oh, if die die really want forum to help, perhaps a pic of the inside or diagram that you drawn up for the innard, be really useful for those who wanna help you. Coz anythign to do with circuit, without pic and diagram(and for accuracy purposes), theres nothing much we can do here.
