Bali is a beautiful place. Lovely fragrant spiced cuisine but not killer spicy. Babi guling(spit roasted sucking pig) is to die for. Plenty of international cuisine as well.

The less populated beach are great to bum around with a martini or a beer or both. Bintang beer is very drinkable on a hot sunny day.

That said there are tourist traps everywhere, so make sure you check out the price first. I was ripped off SGD100+ for a BBQ seafood meal thats not fresh and not nice. Shopping for souveniers and stuff, start bargaining at 20-30% of the starting price and work it out to 30%. If not just walk off, they'll call you back if they're keen.
