SX 5 string. Rondo or dodgy China website

i saw 2 SX's on display at davis last week?
depends on who you talk to at davis. if you ask one of the assistants, they probably don't know, and being prudent they won't keep your hopes up either. if you ask boss, you could get an idea of when the shipment will come, but of course, they won't get stuck to any promises. which is precisely why they don't take orders either.
if they started taking orders from individual customers, they would lose the advantages of shipping in bulk. which is how they keep their prices competitive. and it is apparent that they would rather keep their prices low than to cater to the needs of certain individuals. as you know, it's impossible to ship something in brand new and beat their prices. that's what a dealer is supposed to do.
it's fair to assume that they won't ship in SXs if their stock of entry level guitars is still high.
but like i said, i saw a couple of SXs in their store when i came to collect my FT jr last week. oh and i called them regarding the FT jr. if you can't expect a fast response from email, you can get an instant response over the phone. email has turnaround time as well

you get an even faster response rate when you ask them face to face! i talked to the old guy, if that means anything.
the SXes at Davis are the simplest models SX has, we're looking for the more expensive models on rondomusic that Davis doesn't carry. ahkiatt wants a fiver, i'm hoping to get a fretless, don't see those at Davis. that's why we gotta ship them in.

haha. yea. must see whether we get a good deal, and getting more people to buy one (or 10 =D) would help, im quite sure of that.

yeah looks that way...do you think we should start another thread, like for interest check? that way we can confirm who's interested, what they want to order etc. then maybe email rondomusic with everything and get a quote.
